COO of SRE Worldwide Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) met with District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) at the Throwing Club for a candid discussion about Turner’s connection with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard).

During their conversation, Ashford acknowledged Turner’s potential to use her connection with Corinthos for professional gain, but emphasized the extra complications a conflict of interest could bring.

The COO cautioned Turner, saying, “Sonny may care about you, but only as long as you don’t get in his way.” Her words lingered in Turner’s mind.

Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) visited his partner, Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), at work to dote on her, reassuring her that their unconventional path to romance was no deterrent to his desire to be with her. The couple acknowledged that Dr. Robinson’s daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), was displeased with their relationship. 

Meanwhile, at Trina Robinson’s apartment, her boyfriend, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), confided his fears about the future of his congressional internship and political career. The art historian offered an optimistic perspective. She asserted that good men like Taylor are needed in the political sphere.

Taylor then counseled his girlfriend, who accidentally called her mother. Trina Robinson vented about her continued frustration with her mother’s lies and criticized her for “disrespecting” her father, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), by living with the man (Gannon) with whom she had an affair.

Gannon initiated a visit to his lover’s daughter to clear the air, and Trina Robinson didn’t hold back in voicing her objections to his face.

The transplant surgeon pointed out the flaws in Trina Robinson’s black-and-white thinking concerning the downfall of her parents’ marriage. He challenged her to consider what breaking up with Dr. Robinson would accomplish and whether she wanted to punish her mother by having her be alone.

Disturbed by the idea that she’d want her mother to be unhappy, Trina visited Portia Robinson at General Hospital for a heart-to-heart.

Trina Robinson explained that she came to see her mom after Gannon showed up to level with her. Dr. Robinson was surprised and contrite to learn this, but Trina Robinson knew that her mother didn’t put him up to it and was instead grateful that Gannon helped her face some hard truths.

The art historian realized that she owed her mom an apology, even though Portia Robinson acknowledged the validity of her anger.

Trina Robinson took responsibility for her unfair behavior and recalled her mother asking her if she could love someone who disappointed her. “The answer is yes, because I love you, Mom,” she said.

The two of them tearfully hugged each other, continuing their reconciliation. Trina Robinson insisted she would prioritize her mom’s happiness.

Portia Robinson explained that she is going to invest in a future with Gannon. Trina Robinson admitted that, although she had previously tried to cast Gannon as the villain in her parents’ story, she now recognized his genuine care for her mother, as evidenced by his standing up for her.

Once Trina Robinson gave her blessing, Portia Robinson became even more joyful as she felt the baby kick and shared the moment with her daughter, who then introduced herself to her unborn sibling.
