Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix) ran into Dr. Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan) at the country club, where the two shared a flirtatious exchange. Dr. Dupree brought up the conversation she witnessed between Dr. Rollins and Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley).
Dr. Rollins confessed that they had discussed their feelings for her and made it clear that neither of them planned to disappear unless she wanted them to. The two later shared a meal, where they opened up about their children. The renowned psychiatrist was surprised to learn that Dr. Rollins had already mentioned her to his sons, but he reassured her that they just wanted to see him happy.
At Uptown, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) approached Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) and Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) as they discussed Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison). After mishearing part of the conversation, Dani Dupree initially believed Navarro was asking about purchasing a penthouse, prompting her to question how Bill Hamilton was managing his firm’s finances.
Once corrected, the supermodel pressed Navarro on why he was interested in Wise. Dani Dupree revealed that she knew Wise and shared information that confirmed Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) had a prior connection to Navarro’s former client before the mugging.
At the law firm, Lawson surprised Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) with a meal, but the moment quickly took a turn when the criminal defense attorney began coughing uncontrollably. Naomi Hamilton-Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) walked in and was stunned by Lawson’s lack of concern.
When Wise was mentioned, Lawson confidently stated that her former “friend” was no longer an issue, raising suspicion for both Bill Hamilton and Hamilton-Hawthorne. After the paralegal stepped out for an appointment, Hamilton-Hawthorne attempted to discuss the lawsuit against Dr. Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil), but Bill Hamilton redirected the conversation to his eldest daughter’s marriage.
Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) arrived at Garland Memorial Hospital, where Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) informed him that Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) was around. Smith asked about Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), but Johnson told him Morgan was not scheduled.
Pretending to be conducting research on blood donations, Smith questioned Johnson to gather information. After he left, Morgan arrived, although she wasn’t supposed to be working then.
Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) finally reached Grayson Perez (Jordi Vilasuso). Perez told the undercover cop that he had been stabbed, but denied being at Morgan’s place, which wasn’t true. Jacob Hawthorne reminded Perez that they had a plasma drop to complete that day or they would both be “dead.”
Despite his condition, the hospital lab worker followed through. Afterward, Johnson encountered Perez and asked about the meal Morgan had prepared for their date night.
Back at the hotel, Jacob Hawthorne updated Smith on what went down with Perez, while the investigative reporter shared what he learned at the hospital. Experiencing a bit of fear, Jacob Hawthorne then called his wife to tell her he loved her, leaving her unsettled.

Martin Richardson visited his grandfather, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), where the two discussed the congressman’s latest campaign event and Anita Dupree’s (Tamara Tunie) stubbornness. Martin Richardson eventually revealed that his husband wanted his security detail removed.
The retired senator advised him to trust his husband, but Martin Richardson made it clear that Smith was not the issue. Instead, he was wary of Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), who had offered to assist with security. Martin Richardson also shared that Armstrong had made unsettling comments to Dr. Dupree about politicians having “bodies buried.”
At Garland Memorial Hospital, the former Articulettes lead singer scheduled her final chemotherapy session and spoke with Dr. Montgomery about Vernon Dupree’s recent memory lapses and his vitamin D. deficiency diagnosis. After confirming her appointment, Anita Dupree caught up with Johnson and asked her to update her aunt on her progress with her health.
Their conversation was interrupted when Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) arrived and demanded to speak with the head nurse. Anita Dupree quickly checked Leslie Thomas’ tone and insisted that she apologize.
The free clinic investor also had a run-in with Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) earlier, who confronted her for inserting herself into the ChelseaKat designer and Montgomery’s wedding plans. Their argument escalated as they revisited tensions surrounding Vernon Dupree shutting down Leslie Thomas’ house and her ongoing issues with Dr. Dupree.
Later on, Dr. Lia Whitmore (Cecelia Specht) approached Dr. Montgomery about the lawsuit filed against her and advised her to take a leave of absence. Frustrated, the doctor vented to her fiancé, who suggested boxing to channel her anger and build confidence.
When Montgomery received a call from her estranged mother, whom she had been avoiding, Chelsea Hamilton stepped in and firmly told her that all communication would need to go through legal counsel.
Back at the hospital, Dr. Ted Richardson (Keith Robinson) checked in with his girlfriend before encountering a visibly shaken Leslie Thomas. Though reluctant, he allowed her to open up about growing up without her biological mother, but pushed back by reminding her that she had denied him the chance to know his own daughter, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle). Johnson walked in as the two shared a moment, leaving her visibly unsettled.
At the Richardson-Smith home, Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson) vented to Jessica Harris (Camryn Jade) about Leslie Thomas stealing her clinic idea. Harris then revealed that she had been accepted to UCLA, catching her boyfriend, Tyrell Richardson-Smith (Jaden Lucas Miller), off guard and raising questions about their future.
After asking his sister for privacy, Tyrell Richardson-Smith and Harris went upstairs, but their attempt at intimacy was interrupted by the return of the newly accepted Banneker student’s fathers. When confronted, Samantha Richardson-Smith pointed out the double standard. Hoping to smooth things over, Harris suggested a compromise, which resulted in Tyrell Richardson-Smith being grounded to keep things fair.

Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) visited Martin Richardson, where the siblings reflected on the aftermath of their parents’ disastrous anniversary party from a year ago. They compared notes on their mother’s behavior, with Kat Richardson agreeing to check on her while Martin Richardson planned to speak with their father.
When Martin Richardson attempted to shift the conversation to their half-sister, Eva Thomas, the ChelseaKat manager quickly shut it down. Tensions flared when Kat Richardson called her brother a hypocrite, leading the congressman to snap at his sister before apologizing and admitting that he had been under pressure.
At the country club, Dr. Dupree read through messages of support from her friends and family on what would have been her wedding anniversary.
Eva Thomas stopped by to check on her father, offering reassurance as he made it clear that he did not blame her for the breakdown of his marriage. The renowned psychiatrist later visited her ex-husband, wishing him a happy anniversary and assuring him that they could move on with their lives.
She also raised concerns about their son, prompting a discussion about the impact of his past actions and what a potential Senate run could mean. Dr. Richardson expressed trust in Vernon Dupree’s instincts, while Dr. Dupree emphasized that both she and their son would need him. Their time together turned nostalgic as the two reminisced about meeting in Maui, sharing a warm embrace that Martin Richardson later witnessed.
At Orphey Gene’s, Navarro and Bill Hamilton discussed the junior partner’s findings on Wise. Navarro suggested that Wise was keeping a low profile to avoid fallout after crossing one of her victims.
After a massage, Chelsea Hamilton and Hamilton-Hawthorne spent time together as sisters. The attorney shared that their mother missed Chelsea Hamilton, but she pushed back, noting that she lived close by and had been trying to respect boundaries since their mother’s recent marriage.
At home, Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) prepared protein shakes when his wife joined him. She admitted that she had not heard from her sister and asked if the jet-setting photographer had arranged the double date with Dr. Richardson and Johnson.
Andre Richardson confessed that things did not seem to be going well with his uncle’s new relationship. The married couple decided to head to Orphey Gene’s for breakfast, where they ran into Navarro and Bill Hamilton. Dani Dupree told the two lawyers that she had seen Wise with Lawson together before the mugging.
Chelsea Hamilton and Hamilton-Hawthorne later joined their mother and her husband, drawing Bill Hamilton’s attention as he observed the family dynamic. This prompted Navarro to make the decision to leave and finish his work alone.
At Uptown, Vernon Dupree confronted Armstrong, revealing that Chief Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik) had arranged their meeting on his behalf. The Dupree patriarch questioned Armstrong’s motives in funding the clinic and involving himself in Martin Richardson’s campaign.
The casino owner maintained that he respected the Duprees’ loyalty and was willing to help, but Vernon Dupree argued that Armstrong thrived on leverage. Armstrong ultimately warned that while he was letting things go for now, Martin Richardson would one day have to repay the favor from that awful night.
Navarro met up with Kat Richardson at Uptown, where the ChelseaKat manager shared that she and her brother planned to check on their parents since it was their anniversary. Navarro updated her on his conversation with Bill Hamilton, noting that his boss had been listening until Dani Dupree’s presence distracted him. When Navarro showed her a list of Wise’s victims, Kat Richardson was shocked and recognized one of the names.
