At Paulina Price-Carver’s (Jackée Harry) home, Chanel Dupree-DiMera (Raven Bowens) got off a phone call and was getting some work done when she felt a pain in her breast. Price-Carver walked in and asked her daughter what was wrong.

Coming up with a cover story, Dupree-DiMera said that she had hit her funny bone while using her computer. Price-Carver also offered to look after baby Trey, then insisted on it, while the Sweet Bits Bakery owner got some rest.

Price-Carver expressed her joy at having her entire family under one roof, but when Dupree-DiMera thought that she, Trey and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) could be a burden to everyone in the house, the mayor reassured her daughter that she didn’t want them to go anywhere.

Dupree-DiMera later comforted her mother as she worried about the status of her marriage with Abe Carver (James Reynolds), especially after Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) return to life.

As the mayor began to question her place in her husband’s life, Dupree-DiMera attempted to reassure her. However, Price-Carver acknowledged that she didn’t have the energy to “Square up against fate or the love of Abraham’s life.”

After a conversation with Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) about her sister, Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) arrived at Price-Carver’s house, attempting to ease her mother’s fears with the Sweet Bits Bakery owner. However, Dupree-DiMera had the upcoming results of her biopsy in the back of her mind.

Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) shared a brief moment in the Horton Town Square as she inquired about him, Abe Carver and the resurrection of Lexie Carver. Meanwhile, at Salem University Hospital, Lexie Carver and Kayla Brady-Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) reconnected and caught up on Salem’s history over the past 15 years.

Lexie Carver admitted to her friend that she had researched Price-Carver and was concerned about her involvement with Abe Carver. Simultaneously, the former SPD police commissioner visited EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) at the DiMera Mansion and thanked him for bringing his former wife back to life.

The resurrected Carver matriarch began to struggle with how much time had passed in Salem and how much things had changed, especially when it felt like she had only just woken up from a nap.

She desperately wanted to understand how and why Abe Carver had moved on and what he saw in the current mayor of Salem. Afterward, Lexie Carver told Brady-Johnson that she wanted to meet Price-Carver.

Later on, Hernandez shared news that Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) had offered her the DiMera Enterprises CEO position after he left. Meanwhile, Abe Carver continued his conversation with EJ DiMera and told him that, while he was grateful for Lexie Carver’s resurrection, he was sure that there were ulterior motives behind it. The Carver patriarch let EJ DiMera know that he wanted him to stay away from his son and Lexie Carver.

Price-Carver arrived at Salem University Hospital to meet with Lexie Carver. Determined, the newly resurrected Carver matriarch made it abundantly clear to the mayor that she was not going anywhere, and if Price-Carver truly loved and cared about Abe Carver, she would move out of the way.

Lexie Carver continued staking her claim on the former police commissioner. Begrudgingly, Price-Carver accepted this demand and disclosed that she had already made the decision to allow Abe Carver to move on with his resurrected wife.

Theo Carver ran into EJ DiMera outside the Brady Pub and, unintentionally, shared that Tony DiMera was trying to keep Johnny DiMera out of the DiMera Enterprises CEO chair and that the position had been offered to Hernandez. After his uncle left, Theo Carver sat down with his father and confessed that Price-Carver knew EJ DiMera was trying to bring Lexie Carver back to life before they all found out.

Theo Carver also visited his mother in the hospital, where she informed him that Price-Carver didn’t want to get in the way of Lexie, Abe and Theo Carver all becoming a family again. The former DiMera CEO admitted that he was happy to hear that, but was also heartbroken for Price-Carver because she, Dupree-DiMera and Price-Grant all felt like family to him.

Before Price-Carver left, Abe Carver caught his wife with her suitcase, preparing to move out. Trying to stop her, he asked if they could just talk things through first.

The former police commissioner acknowledged his wife’s decision to let EJ DiMera go through with his experiment. He also told Price-Carver that she was playing God with his life as EJ DiMera did with Lexie Carver. However, when the mayor asked her husband if he would have made a different decision, he stayed silent.

His response, or lack thereof, spoke volumes to Price-Carver, and she told her husband goodbye and walked out, leaving him devastated. Days of Our Lives is available to stream daily on Peacock.
