Since January 2026, fans of “Beyond the Gates” and “The Young and the Restless” have been waiting for the monumental crossover between the two CBS soap operas. The much-anticipated event is set to begin on June 9 and last over multiple episodes.

First announced at CBS’ virtual Television Critics Association panel, this occasion centers on a political fundraiser for Congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) as he continues his reelection bid. A pivotal endorsement becomes the catalyst for citizens of Fairmont Crest and Genoa City to unite.

Dear friend of Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden, YR) will be in attendance as the keynote speaker and will be giving Congressman Richardson his endorsement. The former senator secured this surprise for his grandson as Victor Newman’s influence and notoriety span across many generations, much like the Dupree family.

“The Young and the Restless” stars Bryton James (Devon Winters), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott), Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins) and Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) will also be making the trip.

Vernon Dupree and Victor Newman aren’t the only duo to note. Martin Richardson and Kyle Abbott also have a bond that goes all the way back to their college days in New York. Devon Winters also previously visited Fairmont Crest in August 2025, hoping to work with EGOT-winning lead singer Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) and get her a record deal. It was also clear that the music mogul had a connection with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).

“Beyond the Gates” villains Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) also find their way into the festivities despite not originally being on the guest list. There’s no doubt that the individuals making up the elite Barrington County and Genoa City communities will all be mingling before trouble inevitably starts.

Previews of this crossover event have teased that the affair will bring “power, peril and passion.” Despite hopes of Congressman Richardson’s fundraiser going off without a hitch from the Dupree family, you can’t stop Mother Nature.

Furthermore, Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) seeks solace in Kyle Abbott after he saves her life, and Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) gets blood on her hands…literally. Dr. Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) may have to deal with multiple emergencies concerning his family, helping a visibly panicked Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix) and tending to all his children.
