Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) and Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) anxiously waited for the Impaler meeting to begin. When they arrived, Armstrong told Parker he could leave as the casino owner appeared to recognize the mystery woman who stood before him. The woman revealed herself as Armstrong’s younger sister, Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones), and identified herself as the Impaler.

Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) stopped by to visit Dr. Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson). Andre Richardson noticed his uncle’s happy demeanor and wondered if it could be credited to a certain woman in his life.

Dr. Richardson told his nephew that he and Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) were finally in a good place and that he was giving their relationship a real chance. The conversation then shifted to Andre Richardson’s marriage with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).

Later, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) and Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami Friebe) spent time together before Izaiah Hawthorne left to meet Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) at Uptown. The Banneker University advisor expressed concern for his brother after seeing his reaction to the commendation ceremony.

Jacob Hawthorne stated that his best friend had just died and that his focus remained on catching the Impaler. The undercover cop then asked his brother how Eva Thomas was feeling after the recent Hawthorne family gathering.

Izaiah Hawthorne stated that his girlfriend got through it mainly because their mother managed to be civil. Jacob Hawthorne encouraged his younger brother to leave the door open in case their mother eventually came around to accepting their relationship.

Details of the guest list for Congressman Martin Richardson’s (Brandon Claybon) campaign fundraiser were reviewed at the country club. Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) overheard the conversation and rushed to Eva Thomas’ apartment to persuade her daughter to get on the invite list and bring her as a plus one. 

The Phoenix Street Free Clinic manager informed her mother that she was already invited and had secured her plus one. Leslie Thomas attempted to convince her daughter to take her instead of Izaiah Hawthorne, but Eva Thomas remained unmoved.

After having an intense conversation with Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), Dani Dupree headed to the hospital for a lunch date with Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix), who was busy at the time. Dani Dupree decided to grab lunch with her husband, Andre Richardson, instead.

Back at Eva Thomas’ apartment, Izaiah Hawthorne returned with Thai food for the two of them. The free clinic manager told her boyfriend about Leslie Thomas’ attempt to attend the fundraiser, affirming that she was certain her mother would find a way to get there.

The Richardson-Smith family watched as Martin Richardson nervously stressed over picking the right tie before a campaign photo opportunity. Andre Richardson reviewed the photos with the congressman and his campaign manager, Shonda (Dawntavia Marrero).

Martin Richardson and Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) approved the photos before sending Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell Richardson-Smith (Jaden Lucas Miller) on their way.

At home, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) prepared to attend their grandson’s event. They discussed the impact Victor Newman (Eric Braeden, Y&R) could have on Martin Richardson’s campaign. The couple was also relieved that Armstrong would not be in attendance.

Dani Dupree and Naomi Hamilton-Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) grabbed a quick snack together. The supermodel noticed that her daughter seemed distracted and asked if she was worried about Jacob Hawthorne. Hamilton-Hawthorne shared that her husband was on a mission to find the Impaler.

Dani Dupree empathized with her daughter and compared the situation to her pursuit of retribution against Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) and Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett). The supermodel also surprised Hamilton-Hawthorne by revealing that she and Andre Richardson had recently visited Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob).

Meanwhile, at the police station, Chief Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik) confronted his son about the way he had conducted the interrogation of Ren Tolliver (Donny Carrington). Jacob Hawthorne insisted that his tactics were necessary, as all of Tolliver’s information had led to dead ends.

As the undercover cop informed Chief Hawthorne that he had gotten Tolliver to crack, Hamilton-Hawthorne called to ask her husband about his whereabouts since they were supposed to attend Martin Richardson’s fundraiser together. Jacob Hawthorne apologized to his wife, admitting that he had forgotten and could not attend because of the tip he’d just received about his case.

Later, Samantha and Tyrell Richardson-Smith headed to Orphey Gene’s. Once seated, the Platinum Debutante teased her brother by pointing out that he had missed her cotillion crowning because he was having sex.

Mortified, Tyrell Richardson-Smith feared his sister was about to ask questions. Instead, Samantha Richardson-Smith wanted to discuss his relationship with Jessica Harris (Camryn Jade). The rising Banneker University freshman admitted that he wanted to convince Harris not to attend UCLA.

Vernon Dupree greeted his longtime friend, Victor Newman, upon his arrival from Genoa City. The two men shared a drink before heading to Martin Richardson’s event. Victor Newman later spoke with Anita Dupree before being introduced to the congressman and Smith.

Jacob Hawthorne arrived at Armstrong’s home and revealed that he had received a lead on the Impaler. The cop informed Armstrong that he had been given the name…Davit Azarian. Later, Chief Hawthorne confronted his son about going to the Lakeview Casino owner.

More guests from Genoa City arrived for Congressman Richardson’s fundraiser. Anita and Vernon Dupree greeted Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman, Y&R) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters, Y&R). Jenkins introduced their son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor, Y&R), to Anita Dupree, unaware that the two were already acquainted.

Dani Dupree and Devon Winters (Bryton James, YR) spent some time catching up. Their conversation was interrupted when Andre Richardson arrived, appearing playfully jealous of the exchange.

The supermodel introduced her husband to Winters, who in turn introduced his wife, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway, Y&R). Dani Dupree assured Andre Richardson that he had nothing to be jealous about.

Bill Hamilton later arrived with Lawson on his arm and commented that the event reminded him of when he first opened his law firm. The criminal defense attorney also noticed the new ring Andre Richardson had given Dani Dupree as a symbol of fate and love.

Later, Dani Dupree and Andre Richardson met Jack Abbott and Jenkins. Jenkins remarked that she assumed the fashion industry had brought the photographer and supermodel together, prompting laughter from them before replying, “not exactly.”

When Eva Thomas and Izaiah Hawthorne arrived at the event together, a reporter immediately attempted to provoke a reaction by pointing out that the free clinic manager and Martin Richardson had only recently met despite being siblings. Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) quickly stepped in, ended the questioning, and led her half-sister away.

Once alone, Eva Thomas claimed that she had the situation under control and suggested that Kat Richardson could not stand the idea of someone else being quoted as Congressman Richardson’s sister. Kat Richardson sarcastically credited her sibling for managing to make everyone see her as the “wicked half-sister” and walked away.

While Smith and his husband spoke with Johnson and Dr. Richardson, Armstrong and McBride arrived. Shonda reminded Martin Richardson that being seen with the casino owner could damage his campaign.

Dr. Richardson and Vernon Dupree approached Armstrong and McBride and asked them politely to leave. McBride objected to the request and refused to go. Nicole Dupree eventually proposed that they remain in the lobby as a compromise.

The congressman was thrilled to see that his old friend Kyle Abbott had attended the fundraiser. As the two men caught up and shared photos of their children, they both received alerts warning of an incoming storm. Kyle Abbott noticed that he had an extra glass of champagne and handed it to Lawson.

Winters later spoke with Anita Dupree and informed her that he had found producers willing to remaster The Articulettes’ music using Barbara Mitchell’s voice. The Dupree matriarch was pleased by the news but explained that she wanted to make sure her health was completely in the clear first.

Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) connected with Abby Newman, who identified herself as a loyal ChelseaKat customer. The conversation gave the purse designer several new ideas, and she soon found Kat Richardson, sharing paper napkins she had filled with notes for their business.

Victor Newman formally introduced Martin Richardson to the crowd. As the congressman began his speech, Shonda interrupted to inform him that Fairmont Crest was under a tornado watch.

Martin Richardson immediately shared the club’s safety procedures and instructed everyone to move to the interior hallways. As guests rushed to safety, the storm intensified, the club lost power and destruction unfolded.

As the tornado continued to rage, attendees of Congressman Richardson’s fundraiser scattered throughout the country club in search of safety.

Trapped inside an elevator, Dani Dupree and Bill Hamilton were initially unaware of what was happening outside. The exes soon realized a tornado was striking the area as the building shook around them.

Dani Dupree desperately wanted to get out and make sure her children were safe, while Bill Hamilton remained calm and pointed out that there was little they could do with the power out. After several failed attempts to formulate a plan, the supermodel climbed onto her ex-husband’s shoulders to see if she could find a way out.

The youngest Dupree daughter ultimately fell back into the elevator, but assured Bill Hamilton she was not injured. As the danger mounted around them, the former married duo gave in to their lingering feelings and shared a kiss.

Leslie Thomas offered to wrap Anita Dupree’s injured ankle after she was hurt during the chaos. Anita Dupree initially resisted help but realized that Vernon Dupree needed to move throughout the club to check on other guests.

While tending to the Dupree matriarch, Leslie Thomas recalled having wrapped Eva Thomas’ ankle as a child when she participated in skating. This prompted Anita Dupree to ask about Eva Thomas’ whereabouts.

The Phoenix Street Free Clinic investor assumed her daughter was safe with Izaiah Hawthorne until he arrived and panicked. Leslie Thomas and Izaiah Hawthorne left to search for Eva Thomas while Hamilton-Hawthorne and Morgan remained behind with Anita Dupree.

Smith and Dr. Dupree discovered that someone was trapped beneath debris. When they got closer, they realized it was Andre Richardson. They called for Dr. Richardson and Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) to help and soon discovered that an object had become lodged in the photographer’s leg.

Nurse Johnson noted that they needed antibiotics, and the plastic surgeon stated that he had some in his medical bag located in the country club’s locker room. He wanted to retrieve it, but Navarro warned that a live wire had fallen in the hallway, making the trip extremely dangerous. After finding a way to get to the bag, Dr. Richardson began treating his nephew.

Lawson found herself trapped inside a barricaded room with Kyle Abbott, who noticed shards of glass in the paralegal’s hair and carefully removed them. The duo eventually shared a kiss before Lawson admitted that she’s married. As it became clear they would not be leaving the room anytime soon, Lawson turned on music, and the pair danced together while waiting out the storm.

Eva Thomas pushed Kat Richardson into a closet to keep them both safe just as the tornado worsened. As a heavy pipe came crashing down, Kat Richardson moved her half-sister out of the way, saving her life.

The decision left them trapped, and the ChelseaKat manager repeatedly screamed for help and criticized Eva Thomas for not doing more to assist. Eva Thomas insisted that she was not feeling well, while holding her side.

Later on, Abby Newman shouted that someone was trapped beneath the fallen tree. Jack Abbott, Armstrong, Winters and Smith rushed over and worked together to remove the heavy branches.

Once they cleared the area, Smith realized that the victim was his husband. Guests watched in horror as Dr. Richardson attempted to revive his son. The investigative reporter reassured Congressman Richardson that he would be okay while Nicole Dupree broke down in tears over her son’s unconsciousness.

Still trapped, Kat Richardson continued to yell for help and grew increasingly frustrated with Eva Thomas, who repeatedly stated that she felt sick. The ChelseaKat manager soon realized her half-sister was seriously injured when blood began pouring from her mouth.

Though the two had been at odds, Kat Richardson did not want Eva Thomas to die. Hearing Izaiah Hawthorne’s voice nearby, Kat Richardson frantically screamed for him to help them.

Vernon Dupree eventually located the backup generator and restored some power to the country club. As Abby Newman stepped away to make a phone call, Jenkins noticed a chandelier beginning to fall on her and screamed, “Watch out!”

Armstrong saved Abby Newman’s life by pushing her out of the path of the falling chandelier. Johnson assessed injuries to Winters’ wife and determined that she would be fine. Winters thanked Johnson as Chelsea Hamilton arrived with the news that Victor Newman was safe and was already back in Genoa City.

Dr. Richardson continued treating his son, who eventually regained consciousness. Martin Richardson appeared to be okay as Smith explained that a tree had fallen on him.

Jacob Hawthorne soon arrived at the country club, much to his wife’s relief. Hamilton-Hawthorne updated her husband on everyone’s whereabouts and informed him who was still missing.

The undercover cop shared that roads had been cleared for emergency vehicles. Leslie Thomas then pleaded with Jacob Hawthorne for help and asked him not to treat Eva Thomas differently because he did not see her as a member of his family.

Izaiah Hawthorne continued trying to reach his girlfriend and Kat Richardson, but the ChelseaKat manager warned him to be careful. She continued to stress that they needed help. Meanwhile, Eva Thomas remained unconscious and unresponsive.

Kyle Abbott and Lawson were eventually rescued, and Anita Dupree immediately noticed the flirting between the two. After Lawson rushed off to find her husband, Anita Dupree warned her dear friend’s son about the paralegal.

An injured Andre Richardson grew increasingly panicked as Dani Dupree remained missing. Chelsea Hamilton radioed Morgan for updates and informed the nurse and Hamilton-Hawthorne that Martin Richardson had been trapped under the fallen tree.

Chelsea Hamilton tried to reassure the photographer, but he remained consumed with worry about his wife, who was still trapped in the elevator, making love with Bill Hamilton.

Izaiah Hawthorne eventually found his older brother and informed him about Kat Richardson and Eva Thomas being in danger. Jacob Hawthorne directed firefighters to shut off the gas, then had the Banneker advisor lead him to the trapped sisters. While firefighters and the Hawthorne brothers worked to gain access to the room, Kat Richardson continued wiping blood from Eva Thomas’ mouth.

Meanwhile, Leslie Thomas repeatedly shouted into a walkie-talkie for Dr. Richardson, demanding answers about their missing daughter. Nicole Dupree eventually grabbed the walkie-talkie and snapped at her rival, asserting that Kat Richardson was also missing and demanding that they let the first responders handle the search.

Emergency responders finally reached Eva Thomas and determined that she needed to be transported to Garland Memorial Hospital immediately. Leslie Thomas became hysterical when she saw her daughter on the stretcher and angrily questioned why she appeared so badly injured while Kat Richardson seemed unharmed.

Leslie Thomas left with the EMTs as Jacob Hawthorne questioned his cousin-in-law about what had happened. A distraught Kat Richardson then found her father and recounted the traumatic events involving Eva Thomas.

Dr. Richardson and Izaiah Hawthorne then left for the hospital. Overwhelmed, Kat Richardson insisted the incident had been an accident. When Jacob Hawthorne attempted to reassure her that no one would blame her for what went down, the ChelseaKat manager remarked that they both knew that wasn’t true.

Amidst all the destruction, Dani Dupree and Bill Hamilton agreed on their cover story before going their separate ways. The supermodel reunited with her family and found her injured husband, who told her that he had prayed for her safety.

Nicole Dupree updated her sister on everything that had happened and remained upset that Kat Richardson had not yet been found. Moments later, the psychiatrist reunited with her daughter, relieved and grateful that she was okay.

Kat Richardson spent a quiet moment with her mother and boyfriend. After Nicole Dupree stepped away, Navarro noticed that his girlfriend seemed unusually withdrawn. Kat Richardson then revealed that she had been trapped with Eva Thomas.

Martin Richardson, Vernon Dupree and Smith thanked the Genoa City guests for attending before they departed. Before leaving, Kyle Abbott said goodbye to Lawson, who introduced him to Bill Hamilton.

Congressman Richardson instructed Shonda to redirect the campaign funds raised from the night toward tornado relief efforts. He then told Smith that he wanted to return home to their children.

The investigative reporter urged his husband to take it easy, but Martin Richardson insisted that he was fine. As the congressman began to walk away, he suddenly collapsed, leaving Smith terrified as he rushed to his husband’s side.
