Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) met with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) at Society and presented him with an unexpected opportunity: the chance to run Chancellor Industries. Ashby questioned why she wasn’t considering her brother, Devon Winters (Bryton James), or herself for the position. Lily Winters insisted that Chancellor represented the perfect fresh start for her ex-husband, while her future remained at Winters Inc.

Before Ashby could give the mother of his children an answer, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) arrived and asked to speak with him privately. Once alone, the photographer thanked Ashby for donating the bone marrow that ultimately saved his life.

Their conversation shifted to Lily Winters. Ashby admitted that while they’re currently friends and business partners, he hopes for something more.

The former Arabesque Ventures CEO confessed that he still loved his ex-wife and intended to spend the rest of his life earning back her trust. Malcolm Winters appreciated Ashby’s desire to make amends but made it clear that whatever would happen in the future was Lily Winters’ alone to decide.

After the photographer departed, Lily Winters and Ashby resumed their discussion about Chancellor Industries. Ashby revealed that recent events had forced him to reevaluate his priorities and assured her that his legal troubles had been resolved.

Encouraged by the opportunity to move forward, Ashby officially accepted his ex-wife’s offer to become Chancellor’s new CEO. The two toasted to their new partnership and the fresh start that lay ahead.

Meanwhile, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) met at Society. Though Claire Newman remained curious about what happened between Novak and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) in the past, she assured him that she’d respect his decision to keep that chapter private.

Their date plans were interrupted by the arrival of Novak’s mother, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), who revealed that she had been offered the position of chief of staff at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Novak was surprised but ultimately thrilled at the idea of having his mother nearby, assuring her that he’d forgiven the mistake she had made years ago out of love. Their celebration grew even more joyful when Malcolm Winters arrived.

After sharing a warm family moment, Dr. Simmons excused herself, and Malcolm Winters spent one-on-one time with his son. He expressed his desire to build a relationship with Novak and took an interest in his future.

The conversation eventually turned to the family business, with Malcolm Winters suggesting that Novak could one day find a place within the family company. Though Novak acknowledged that earning the trust of Devon Winters and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) wouldn’t be easy, he was intrigued by the possibility.

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Lily and Malcolm Winters, Novak and Simmons enjoyed drinks together while chatting about their lives. The gathering was cut short when Novak announced that he was heading to the grand opening of Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) new nightclub.

Though Simmons was reluctant, Malcolm Winters eagerly agreed to join, insisting that he was ready to have some fun after spending so much time in the hospital. After the brother-sister duo left to prepare for their night on the town, Malcolm Winters and Simmons were left at the athletic club to reflect on their history.

The photographer admitted that he never expected his and Simmons’ lives to intersect after their relationship ended, but he’s pleased to know that they share an enduring bond through Novak.

Later, Novak arrived at the new club with Claire Newman and shared a tense moment with Charles, reflecting on their murky history together. Novak attempted to check in on his ex, as it was clear that both of them were unsettled by the uncanny resemblance of the old and “New Shadow Room.”

When Dr. Simmons, Lily Winters and Malcolm Winters arrived, the photographer was warmly welcomed home by Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), whom he introduced to Simmons. The Crimson Lights owner was surprised when her old friend revealed that Novak was his son.

Later on, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) approached Lily Winters to offer her congratulations – prompting a misunderstanding. Lily Winters revealed that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had returned Chancellor Industries to her.

Victoria Newman was stunned and quickly grew frustrated, insisting that the company rightfully belonged to her mother, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Though the eldest Newman daughter had warned Lily Winters not to get too comfortable, Victoria Newman quickly realized that the deal was already done.

Later, Lily Winters shared the news with her biological father, who was thrilled by her success. She also revealed that she had hired Ashby to run Chancellor on her behalf and wondered whether she’d made a mistake by trusting him.

Malcolm Winters encouraged her to follow her instincts, noting that Ashby had proven himself in unexpected ways. Lily Winters appreciated his support, and the photographer thanked her for extending the same faith to his son, Novak. Feeling the effects of a long recovery, Malcolm Winters eventually called it a night and said his goodbyes.

At Crimson Lights, Charles crossed paths with her ex-boyfriend, Hastings, and quickly realized he had skipped the opening of Noah Newman’s new nightclub. Hastings correctly deduced that Charles attended the event but didn’t enjoy herself, prompting her to admit that the evening didn’t go quite as planned.

When Charles asked whether he’d consider returning to medicine, Hastings acknowledged that while reclaiming his medical career was tempting, he was happy working alongside his family at Winters Inc. Charles wasn’t entirely convinced, noting that he seemed far more passionate about discussing medicine than he did business.

After once again apologizing for the lies and deception that had damaged their relationship, Charles parted ways with Hastings, leaving the former doctor to reflect on the injury that had cost him his career.

Meanwhile, Ashby and Lily Winters celebrated their new professional partnership with a date at the club’s opening. Ashby was thrilled by the recent turn of events, revealing that his children were proud of him.

The Winters Inc executive took advantage of the celebration and pressed Ashby for details of his private conversation with her biological father, leading him to admit that he had confessed his love for her. Though Malcolm Winters appreciated everything, Ashby acknowledged that he wasn’t too pleased to hear the love confession.

Lily Winters revealed that she also discussed her decision to appoint him CEO of Chancellor Industries with her biological father. While Malcolm Winters wasn’t entirely enthusiastic about the idea, he ultimately encouraged her to trust her judgment.

Eager to establish her authority, Lily Winters suggested publicly announcing the new role, but Ashby advised patience, warning that her family may not be as supportive of the decision. Nevertheless, Lily Winters remained convinced that she’d be honoring Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) wishes by putting him in charge.

Later, Novak personally thanked Ashby for saving his father’s life, crediting him with the renewed happiness he had brought to both sides of the family. The moment further reinforced Ashby’s optimism about the future. Wanting to celebrate, the former Arabesque Ventures CEO invited the woman he loves onto the dance floor, and as the evening continued, the pair shared a passionate kiss.

At Crimson Lights, Hastings called Victoria Newman to apologize for missing their plans the previous evening and promised to make it up to her. Simmons soon arrived with the exciting news that she had accepted the chief of staff position at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.

Hastings was thrilled for her, though he downplayed his role in helping her secure the job. Dr. Simmons disagreed, crediting his reputation within the medical community before asking whether he had ever considered returning to medicine himself. While Hastings admitted that being a doctor was rewarding, he stated that he’s happy with the life he’s built in business.

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Lily Winters and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) discussed their loved ones who were currently stranded in Fairmont Crest (BTG) amid the ongoing tornado disaster. The conversation shifted when Lily Winters revealed that she had regained control of Chancellor Industries.

Abbott’s support quickly faded when she disclosed that she’d be appointing Ashby as the company’s new CEO. Furious by the decision, Abbott argued that Ashby nearly destroyed Chancellor once before and accused him of being manipulative.

Though Lily Winters acknowledged that she still had feelings for Ashby and wanted to repay him for saving her biological father’s life, she insisted that her decision was about more than gratitude. She believed Chancellor offered him an opportunity to rediscover the man he used to be.

Abbott remained unconvinced. He warned Lily Winters that she was placing too much faith in someone who had repeatedly hurt her and questioned whether Devon Winters would support the decision.

The Winters Inc executive stood firm, asserting that her ex-husband had earned the chance to prove himself and reminded Abbott that she didn’t need his approval.

As their disagreement intensified, Abbott admitted that he couldn’t simply accept her decision because he still cared about her and didn’t want to watch her get hurt again. Lily Winters was offended by the suggestion that she wasn’t capable of making her own choices. Her attention was soon pulled elsewhere when she received a text message, reminding them both that they had loved ones trapped in Fairmont Crest.
