Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) caught up at the Horton Town Square. Theo Carver admitted that his father might’ve been right not to want him working at DiMera Enterprises. As the Carver father-son duo talked things through, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) arrived at his family’s company and found his cousin’s resignation letter.

Theo Carver continued to explain his reasons for leaving DiMera Enterprises. The former Co-CEO told his father he didn’t trust Johnny DiMera, and that the broken bond started with his cousin’s lies about the late Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) and her location during her final days.

Abe Carver assured his son that he was making the right choice. The former police commissioner also said Lexie Carver would’ve been proud of Theo Carver for making his own decisions, even if others wanted a different outcome.

Theo Carver shared that he was interested in the opportunity to work for Gabi Chic. However, he also voiced concerns about his history with Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), especially given the issues they’ve had in recent months. Abe Carver told his son that if he thinks this job is best for him, he should trust his gut and go for it.

Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) spent some time at Chanel Dupree-DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) apartment helping with chores. As the two worked on the laundry, they discussed throwing a baby shower for Dupree-DiMera. The Sweet Bits Bakery owner then walked in and completely shut the idea down.

Price stayed headstrong and insisted that they would proceed with the party. Price-Grant then updated her mother and sister about Theo Carver stepping back and resigning from DiMera Enterprises.

Later, Price and Price-Grant walked through the Horton Town Square, and the Salem mayor admitted that she planned to ask the governor to pardon her eldest daughter for her crime against Terrell Raymond “TR” Coates (William Christian). The former detective was upset at first to hear about her mother using power and influence to get her out of her current predicament, but as Price fully explained everything further, Price-Grant seemed less hesitant about the idea.

As Price-Grant and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) began to strike up a conversation, Stark asked the former detective once again to join him on his podcast. Reluctantly, Price-Grant finally agreed to share her story about what happened with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). Mayor Price then stepped away and called the governor to ask a favor.

Meanwhile, at Dupree-DiMera and Johnny DiMera’s home, the DiMera Enterprises CEO brought his sister, Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh), to visit his wife and children. The Sweet Bits Bakery owner and her husband soon discussed Theo Carver’s resignation.

Dupree-DiMera wanted to know why her cousin-in-law left the family company. Johnny DiMera told his wife that Theo Carver resigned due to all of EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) antics. Johnny DiMera acknowledged that he hadn’t handled things properly.
