Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) dropped in at Salem University Hospital to visit and confide in her friend, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). As they discussed their shared feelings about being brought back to life, Lexie Carver told Dr. Evans that she believed she was dying once again.

After stating this shocking news, the Carver matriarch explained the conversations she had been having with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and the symptoms she was experiencing post-return. Lexie Carver admitted that she was not planning on sharing this information with her family.

Flooded with sadness, Lexie Carver began to unravel as she told Evans that she doesn’t want to put Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) through the pain of losing her again. She also made it clear that she wants to find a way to avoid them finding her when she dies.

The resurrected Carver matriarch insisted that although she is angry with her brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), for putting her in this position, she would do it again in a heartbeat for a second chance to be with her family and friends.

Later, when EJ DiMera arrived at the DiMera mansion, he found his sister unconscious on the living room floor. The attorney was horrified and completely shocked.

EJ DiMera saw Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) emerge from the tunnels and told her to get Dr. Rolf immediately. However, Lesley stated that she could not do that because he was gone and nowhere to be found.

Lexie Carver woke up and explained to EJ DiMera and Lesley what she remembered before her blackout. EJ DiMera announced to his sister that Dr. Rolf was gone. Lexie Carver was visibly upset but became determined to figure out her next move.

Chanel Dupree-DiMera (Raven Bowens) started to believe that she knew where her cancer originated from and voiced her concerns to her husband, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). As the Sweet Bits Bakery owner shared the information she had found about the water at Horton Cabin, Johnny DiMera tried to assuage her worries.

Their conversation was interrupted as the doorbell rang and Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry) arrived to visit her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Trey DiMera. Johnny DiMera then stated that he had an errand to run.

When Dupree-DiMera noticed that her mother’s wedding ring was not on her finger, Price-Carver later shared that she was trying to accept that Abe Carver was back together with Lexie Carver and what that meant for everyone. The bakery owner soon comforted her mother.

In a moment of vulnerability, Dupree-DiMera also confided that she wasn’t feeling as close to Johnny DiMera. In response, the Salem mayor suggested that her daughter try a different way to “turn up the heat” in her marriage, handing her a wig.

Meanwhile, Theo and Abe Carver conversed at DiMera Enterprises. Theo Carver presented Price-Carver’s wedding ring to his father and explained why he had waited to give it to him in private. The former police commissioner opened up to his son about losing Price-Carver and how upsetting it was.

Abe Carver also confessed to conspiring with EJ DiMera to keep Theo Carver out of the CEO spot at DiMera Enterprises, and that he didn’t want him in the position at all. Theo Carver couldn’t believe what his father had done, and he walked out.

Later, Abe Carver met with his resurrected wife at the Brady Pub. Lexie Carver could read all over him that something was off, and he told her about his plan with EJ DiMera to oust their son from DiMera Enterprises.

Lexie Carver seemed a little woozy, which Abe Carver noticed. When the former mayor asked her about it, she came up with a simple excuse about dealing with heat exhaustion.

By the end of the night, Dupree-DiMera and Johnny DiMera shared a passionate, intimate moment as the Sweet Bits Bakery owner took her mother’s advice and engaged in some exciting role-play for her husband. Johnny DiMera made it clear that his wife was the only one he’d ever want.

In another attempt to make things right, Abe Carver apologized to Theo Carver for having worked behind his back with EJ DiMera to get him out of the CEO position at DiMera Enterprises. Once again, the Carver patriarch stated that he wanted to protect his son from all the chaos that comes with being in the DiMera business world.

After hearing the former police commissioner out, Theo Carver decided to forgive his father for his mistake. The duo shared a hug, and Theo Carver mentioned that Lexie Carver was not home at the moment.

Abe Carver let his youngest child know that when his mother arrived, the DiMera inheritance money that Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) had left her would be deposited. A disgruntled Theo Carver was upset by this and declared that he did not want any of the DiMeras’ money.
