Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) filled Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) in on everything that happened during Chanel Dupree-DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) baby shower after he apologized for not being able to attend. Price-Grant assured her husband it was probably for the best that he wasn’t there because he likely would have had to make arrests after a mix-up between Dupree-DiMera’s medicated donuts and Julie Olson Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) regular donuts.

The former detective told Grant that, although she wants to return to the force, the governor didn’t share her feelings. After Price-Grant shared this news with her husband, he offered his support and a way to ease her hurt during this difficult time.

Price-Grant also opened up about her worries regarding having to explain this information to their children when they get older. Grant asked his wife if she believed they could convince the governor themselves to let her back on the force. Price-Grant then received a call from Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), who said the governor had finally agreed to pardon her.

Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) discussed their plans for Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) memorial service over coffee at the Brady Pub. Price-Grant then called her father and told him she’d been pardoned and was hoping to rejoin the police force. Abe Carver updated Theo Carver on the news and shared his concerns that this could look like favoritism in the eyes of outsiders.

Stephanie Johnson-Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) and Mayor Price met at the Horton Town Square. They discussed Price-Grant’s pardon and their excitement about her possibly getting her badge back.

Price then arrived at the Brady Pub, where she, Theo Carver and Abe Carver talked about Lexie Carver’s memorial service. The former police commissioner said he understood if Price didn’t want to be there, but the Salem mayor assured him she would love to attend.

Price-Grant visited Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) at the Salem Police Department, and Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) joined their meeting. The police commissioner told Price-Grant she had heard about the pardon and that she believed the former detective losing her badge was an unjust act that had now been corrected.

Hunter then offered Price-Grant her old job back. The police commissioner asked about Price-Grant’s shock at the offer, saying she thought it was obvious why she called. Since Price-Grant and Brady had worked together before, Hunter believed they could again.

Price-Grant gladly accepted the offer, and she and Brady agreed to be partners again. The detective duo caught up on what had changed since working together over a decade ago. Price-Grant wondered if things would be weird since she and Brady had previously dated, but she also asserted that she was happily married and that Brady and Hunter were great together.
