Chanel Dupree-DiMera (Raven Bowens) and Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry) shared a sweet moment about Price-Carver moving out of her and Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) apartment. Dupree-DiMera declared that if her mother was moving out, then so was she.
Upset, Dupree-DiMera assured Price-Carver that she wasn’t going to stay somewhere without her, especially with Abe Carver and Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford), a woman she did not know. When the Salem mayor acknowledged that she didn’t want baby Trey living in a room in the Salem Inn, Dupree-DiMera stated that he wouldn’t be.
Dupree-DiMera let her mother know that the apartment she has with her husband, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), had been cleared for occupancy again. When she offered to have her mother stay with them, Price-Carver declined, to her daughter’s surprise.
As the mother-daughter duo were talking, Dupree-DiMera received a call from Dr. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) about her results being back from her biopsy. Dr. Horton told the Sweet Bits Bakery owner that it would be best for her to come to Salem University Hospital and bring Johnny DiMera with her.
Later, Dupree-DiMera and her husband arrived at the hospital. Sorrowfully, the doctor reported that the biopsy had found the mass to be malignant. She also shared that the tumor was considered “High grade.” This meant that it was growing rapidly and aggressively.
In an attempt to keep things positive, Dr. Horton shared that the tumor was responsive to hormone therapy. However, that type of treatment was not a viable option during pregnancy. Horton stated that the oncologist would possibly consider surgery or chemotherapy.
Dupree-DiMera struggled with the idea of chemotherapy because of how it could affect her baby, but Dr. Horton reminded her that her health as the mother was crucial to the baby’s health. Johnny DiMera comforted his wife as she pondered the new, heartbreaking information regarding her biopsy.

At the family home, Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) saw Price-Carver with her suitcase and acknowledged her selflessness. He thanked her for making the difficult decision to move out as Lexie Carver began to come back into the fold. Price-Carver asserted that she was not doing it for the recognition, but because she was trying to give Abe Carver the space that he needed to figure things out and preserve her own dignity.
Theo Carver told the mayor that his father never meant to hurt her, but she responded that everyone knew that Abe and Lexie Carver were soulmates. The former DiMera Enterprises CEO apologized for putting his stepmother in this predicament. Price-Carver assuaged his guilt and reassured him that they would always be family. Before Price-Carver left, she told Theo Carver that if he ever wanted to talk or just grab coffee, he knew where to find her. The two then shared an embrace.
Later on, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) stopped by Theo Carver’s home and confronted him, assuming he was the reason Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) had broken up with her and that he knew it. Theo Carver was stunned and affirmed that he had no idea what Hernandez was talking about.
Hernandez stated that Theo Carver had told Philip Kiriakis that she planted a bug in his and Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) office and that she was the reason DiMera Enterprises broke away from Titan Industries.
Theo Carver asked Hernandez why he would tell her ex that information, and she confessed that she had read Theo Carver’s journal after he left it at the Brady Pub and knew about his feelings for her.
The former DiMera Enterprises CEO maintained that he had more important matters to worry about, such as his mother being resurrected after 15 years, than telling Philip Kiriakis what Hernandez did. Theo Carver declared that he didn’t do what Hernandez accused him of and told her to leave. Hurt and annoyed, Theo Carver tore out the pages of his journal entry about his feelings for Hernandez and threw them across the room after she had left.

At home, Dupree-DiMera was doing research on her cancer diagnosis while Johnny DiMera was taking a nap. He soon woke up and asked his wife if she had gotten any sleep.
Johnny DiMera continued to champion and encourage Dupree-DiMera concerning the process of her cancer journey. Dupree-DiMera stated that while she appreciated the support and help, she also needed to be realistic.
When Johnny DiMera playfully accused his wife of doomscrolling, the Sweet Bits Bakery owner reminded him that the pregnancy was already high risk and that her diagnosis was something that not a lot of doctors had seen before. She declared that she needed to be her own advocate.
Johnny DiMera agreed and reassured Dupree-DiMera that he would be by her side every step of the way. Taking in and loving the support, Dupree-DiMera stated that there was just one thing her husband couldn’t say to her: that her life was more important than the baby’s.
Meanwhile, Theo Carver was staring at photos of his father and stepmother, clearly sad about Price-Carver moving out of the apartment. Abe Carver soon arrived and told his son that he believed Lexie Carver would be released from Salem University Hospital.
Theo Carver began to question his dad about the status of his marriage to the Salem mayor. He asked whether Abe Carver and Price-Carver would get a divorce or whether their marriage was invalid due to Lexie Carver’s resurrection.
Abe Carver told his son that there would be a time and place to sort out the legalities and confided that he had struggled to make the right decision. However, the former police commissioner reminded Theo Carver that Price-Carver had pretty much made the decision for him.
Theo Carver continued to press his father, but the conversation quickly shifted to what Hernandez had accused him of. He admitted that, between this, the end of things with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and the new reality with his mother, he was on the verge of a breakdown. Distraught, Theo Carver declared that he wanted his mother to be proud of him, and Abe Carver told his son that she was, and that so was he, every single day.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) visited Lexie Carver at Salem University Hospital, and the brother-sister duo shared some banter about how things had been since the resurrection. The attorney notified his sister that he had shown up to collect samples for Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) to make sure that she was okay.
Later, Lexie Carver started complaining to EJ DiMera about Price-Carver, calling her arrogant and rude. The resurrected Carver matriarch declared that she still didn’t understand how Abe Carver fell in love with her.

Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) briefly caught up at the Salem Bookstore when Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) surprised them. Price-Grant rushed into her husband’s arms, so happy that he was home.
When Williams and Price-Grant jokingly recalled that Grant wasn’t supposed to show up until the day after, Grant declared that he missed his wife and grandmother so much that he couldn’t wait to get back home. They let him know that he was missed as well, more than he knew.
The trio talked about how Price-Carver was watching the Grant twins and how it was a welcomed distraction given everything that was going on with the mayor’s relationship with Abe Carver. Price-Grant stated that her mother’s actions were selfless, putting her own needs aside for Abe and Theo Carver.
In awe, Williams declared that the gesture represented pure, true love. Price-Grant agreed and confidently insisted that if the time comes, “The Price women will put up one hell of a fight.”
Later on, Grant and Price-Grant had a close moment at the Horton Town Square. Grant comforted his wife as she got emotional and shared the news of her sister’s cancer diagnosis with him. After swearing Grant to secrecy, Price-Grant shared a romantic kiss with her husband.
