Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) accidentally walked in on Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) kissing at the Quartermaine mansion. After explaining that their writing session had made them hungry, Trina Robinson and Palmieri accepted an invitation to have sandwiches with the married duo.

After discussing song ideas, the songstress shared her continued worries regarding Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and his upcoming trial verdict. Trina Robinson didn’t want to use her family’s pain for creative inspiration. She instead wished her dad’s car accident, the inciting event for his assault on Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), had never happened.

While the Port Charles University graduate received encouragement from Palmieri and Chase, Quatermaine-Chase sat in silent guilt over being the real “other driver” in the Ashfords’ car accident, not Dr. Gannon.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was called to an unexpected meeting at the Metro Court by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). She was puzzled when the former fugitive asked for a favor and said he didn’t want her to feel obligated to help just because he saved her life.

The former deputy mayor was then floored but grateful to learn that Cassadine had helped Curtis Ashford pull her from the wreckage of her car crash. When Cassadine explained that Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) assets would soon be up for auction and that he wanted help in making strategic purchases, Jordan Ashford gave him some tips. She also insisted on a consultant’s fee if he wanted more of her insights.

Curtis and Jordan Ashford met for lunch at the Metro Court, and the former police commissioner stated that she now knew Cassadine’s role in saving her life. She understood her boyfriend’s reasons for secrecy, and the couple hoped to move on from their near-fatal car wreck. The Aurora Media CEO hoped the jury would understand his trauma and acquit him.

Jordan Ashford recapped her meeting with Cassadine and how it could lead to exciting new job opportunities. Curtis Ashford had reservations about her leveraging connections to Sidwell but shared his girlfriend’s enthusiasm for continued work in the corporate world.

The duo’s conversation returned to the pending court verdict, and Curtis Ashford insisted that he could only hope for a “not guilty” verdict so he would not spend years separated from his son, Desmond Robinson-Ashford.

Dr. Gannon greeted Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) at her home. After getting an update on Robinson-Ashford, the transplant surgeon shared good news: his broken hand was healing unexpectedly well, possibly meaning he could return to the operating room in the future.

While elated and hopeful regarding Gannon’s prognosis, the former General Hospital chief of staff blamed herself for his injury since she’d brought her domestic chaos into his life. Gannon assured Dr. Robinson that he had nothing but gratitude and love for her and Robinson-Ashford. Ultimately, he only blamed Curtis Ashford for the ordeal.

Realizing the upcoming jury verdict would determine how “stuck” they were with Portia Robinson’s ex-husband, the duo had a candid, honest discussion about what outcome they wanted. Both doctors felt Gannon deserved justice and predicted a future child custody battle if Curtis Ashford was acquitted.

However, the Robinson matriarch didn’t want to witness her daughter’s pain should the Aurora Media CEO be sentenced to years in prison. News then came that the jury had reached a verdict.

While having lunch at Bobbie’s with her boyfriend, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), Trina Robinson couldn’t maintain light conversation because of her dad’s legal predicament. As the art historian tearfully explained her feelings of guilt and anxiety, Taylor comforted her and encouraged her to stay positive.

Later on, Palmieri came in and described the argument he’d just witnessed between Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). Taylor and Trina Robinson realized that it was time to tell Corinthos what they knew about his ex-wife.

At the Quartermaine mansion, the songstress and her political intern boyfriend revealed themselves as witnesses who could prove that Congresswoman Cain got away with the attempted murder of her husband, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Motivated by a desire to protect Corinthos’ position as primary guardian of his children, Taylor and Trina Robinson were willing to go public. However, the media mogul suggested an alternative course of action.

At Dr. Robinson’s home, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) confided in Stella Henry (Vernée Watson-Johnson) about his hopes for his son’s acquittal. The General Hospital chief administrator reminded her brother-in-law that, even if their wish came true, the drama between Curtis Ashford, Gannon and Dr. Robinson would continue.

The two predicted a messy, family-destroying custody battle if the Aurora Media CEO wouldn’t stop trying to ice Dr. Gannon out of Robinson-Ashford’s life. Marshall Ashford and Henry decided to persuade Curtis Ashford off his warpath.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ashford tried to calm her boyfriend’s nerves outside the courtroom. Trina Robinson and Taylor soon arrived with encouragement for the former private investigator.

Trina Robinson and Curtis Ashford exchanged words of love before Dr. Robinson and Dr. Gannon arrived and witnessed the embrace. When The Savoy owner stepped away, Dr. Robinson and her daughter shared their own tender moment.

After court was called back into session, Curtis Ashford was found guilty of second-degree assault and battery and was sentenced to ten years in prison with the possibility of parole. Though Assistant District Attorney Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Gannon were pleased with this result, the rest of the room was left reeling.

After thanking Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) for his services, the Aurora Media CEO and his daughter did their best to comfort one another as their romantic partners looked on.

Later, Curtis Ashford told Jordan Ashford that he couldn’t believe the jury hadn’t understood his defense and that Dr. Gannon would now literally get to be a “better father” to Robinson-Ashford. The former SRE Worldwide COO promised to help her partner get through the challenge of prison.

Portia Robinson arrived home and, from her expression, Henry and Marshall Ashford realized that Curtis Ashford was going to jail. The trio then shared a group hug.

At Bobbie’s, Trina Robinson and Taylor talked through the verdict and the art historian’s decision to cut back on contact with her parents. The former Port Charles University quarterback assured his girlfriend that she made the best decision for herself at the time and that he would be there for her.

Eventually, Taylor took his leave so he could get some work done at Trina Robinson’s place, which made the songstress happy and eager to see her boyfriend at home. Unseen by the duo, Trina Robinson’s stalker watched her from outside the diner.

Dr. Gannon and Jordan Ashford ran into each other at the Metro Court’s rooftop restaurant. The transplant surgeon said he only wanted justice and didn’t want to wreck his adversary’s life, but the former police commissioner insisted one could not exist without the other.

Making the most of his 48 remaining hours of freedom, Curtis Ashford visited his father, aunt, ex-wife and son. He enjoyed a private moment with Robinson-Ashford, and Dr. Robinson promised that she would help reunite the media mogul and his son when the time came.
