Casting Buzz: Angela Fairley Joins Beyond the Gates as Deanna McBride

Angela Fairley has been cast on CBS’s “Beyond the Gates” as Deanna McBride, making her soap opera debut.
Fairley’s name was spotted on the closing credits of Thursday’s episode. The daughter of Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) and the late Doug McBride (Jason Graham) will be making her long-awaited return home to Fairmont Crest on Mar. 11.
Deanna McBride is also the twin sister of Donnell McBride (Alex Cheeks), who was introduced in Oct. 2025. He previously stated that his sister wasn’t taking the sudden death of their father well.
Missing Doug McBride’s funeral because of the pain she was in, Deanna McBride was left heartbroken, trying to heal and find a path forward at her college, Banneker University.
Recently, Donnell McBride returned home for a lunch visit with his mother, in which he accepted a request to escort Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson) to her upcoming cotillion.
Donnell McBride let his mother know that Deanna McBride had joined the app connected to Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrom) male escort service, Heart Attach, which their mother manages, unbeknownst to them. Vanessa McBride was very shocked to hear this.
Fairley previously starred in Lifetime’s “I am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story” in 2019, and she received Emmy consideration for it. Fairley also appeared in Season 2 of the series “GodComplx” in 2016.
“Beyond the Gates” fans and Vanessa McBride herself, onscreen, have been anxiously anticipating Deanna McBride’s homecoming amidst all the changes happening in the McBride family, and now they will finally see it.
