In his role as a volunteer coach for the Pediatric Sports Initiative at General Hospital, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) arrived at the batting cages to help James West (Gary James Fuller) work on his swing.
The young boy bragged to his father, Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), about Taylor’s impressive past as a college football superstar, and Nathan West was impressed that his son’s idol was balancing school, a political internship and volunteer work following his football career-ending injury.
Taylor explained to the detective that, while his internship was an obligation, he genuinely enjoyed coaching, which showed in the supportive and practical pointers he gave both son and father to improve their baseball techniques.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) arrived at General Hospital looking for Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), eager for her mother to go on her break for a special surprise. Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) went and notified the doctor, who was happy to be free for the rest of the day for some mother-daughter time.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was at Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) apartment when he unexpectedly received a visit from his aunt Stella Henry (Vernée Watson).
His auntie, there to drop off a housewarming gift for Jordan Ashford, was surprised to learn that her nephew was now calling the place home. Though happy, Curtis and Jordan Ashford were rekindling their romance, Henry feared that the lovebirds were moving too fast after the former private investigator’s messy divorce situation with Portia Robinson.
Curtis Ashford assured Henry that he was in love, not rebounding. Next, when the social worker went looking for a pen in Jordan Ashford’s purse to write a note, she was shocked to find a pregnancy test in there.
Jordan Ashford and District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) met at the nail salon for a mani-pedi and gossip session. The former police commissioner could tell that her friend was distracted by her feelings for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
The DA assured her friend that she was heeding her advice to begin steering clear of the mob boss, though she was still secretly thinking of their night of passion. Jordan Ashford revealed her decision to have Curtis Ashford move in and her hope that they would work things out this time, despite the complications.
Just then, Portia and Trina Robinson arrived at the salon. The art history major was apologetic to her mother and willing to leave, but Portia Robinson was ready to push through any awkwardness.
Turner and Trina Robinson were unfortunately called away for their work and school emergencies, respectively, leaving the two rivals alone together.
After witnessing Jordan Ashford make an emergency run to the restroom, Dr. Robinson confronted her with a sudden and likely accurate accusation: Was Jordan Ashford pregnant? Incensed at the absurdity of their situation, the doctor exclaimed, “You have got to be kidding me!”
Viewers can watch “General Hospital” Monday through Friday, airing on ABC at 3 p.m. EST.
