Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) arrived at Bobbie’s, where James West (Gary James Fuller) was excited to go say hello to “Coach Kai.” The two excitedly discussed the little leaguer’s upcoming game.
Trina Robinson pleasantly surprised her boyfriend by offering West baseball pointers, then revealed her childhood experience playing the sport and her love for it.
When the Jerome Art Gallery assistant shared details about her past as the “Queen of Short Stop,” her boyfriend suggested she take the soon-to-be-open assistant coach position (with West’s enthusiastic agreement). After some persuasion, Trina Robinson accepted the role as well as her lover’s playful teasing.
Following a text summons from Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), the couple visited her home, bringing compression socks as a gift to the paralyzed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
When the congresswoman commended Trina Robinson for showing compassion for her husband even after his mistreatment of her parents, the art history major declared that, no matter what, the man did not deserve to be shot.
Willow Cain’s phone then went off, and the college students accidentally revealed knowledge of her son’s ringtone, which, unbeknownst to the secret villainess, was information that had led Trina Robinson and Taylor to identify the congresswoman as her husband’s shooter.
Meanwhile, at General Hospital, Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and pregnant Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) prepared for an ultrasound appointment. Dr. Robinson expressed apprehension about having Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) there, given her past interaction with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at the nail salon.
When the Aurora CEO arrived, the former spouses had a private discussion. While Portia Robinson admitted that she wasn’t ready to learn their baby’s gender, she wanted to clear the air.
She explained her snarky reaction to Jordan Ashford’s potential pregnancy as well as the “enlightening” conversation she had with his aunt, Stella Henry (Vernée Watson). She realized it was time for the quad to move on in a positive direction.
Later, Dr. Robinson discussed the positive outcome with her boyfriend, and while Dr. Gannon was happy for her, he seemed skeptical that Curtis Ashford deserved the praise.
Jordan Ashford went to Wyndemere to express her sorrow to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) over the death of his son, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo). After sharing his grief, Sidwell firmly requested that she get him details on the ongoing murder investigation.
The former police commissioner tried to resist the smuggler’s demands and took offense when he claimed to trust only what he paid for. Undeterred, Sidwell threatened her livelihood if she did not comply.
Outside Bobbie’s, Curtis Ashford later stumbled upon his girlfriend making a call to a nosy forensics colleague. When Jordan Ashford explained that she needed intel for Sidwell, her partner advised her to quit her job.
However, she insisted she still wanted to pursue this work, hoping to eventually put the villainous pier-owner behind bars.

In Congresswoman Cain’s office, Trina Robinson and Taylor shared a kiss and expressed their excitement about the upcoming open mic at Charlie’s Pub, where the art history major would be performing. Their conversation quickly turned to the unexposed crimes of the congresswoman.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) appeared and surprised the duo by announcing he was there to see Taylor, not his ex-wife, to discuss potentially transferring his son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), to the former PCU quarterback’s team.
Taylor explained the benefits of letting Wiley Corinthos continue learning under a tough coach, but agreed to give private lessons on the side. Once alone again, the pair commended Michael Corinthos’ paternal skills, making Trina Robinson feel even worse about keeping him in the dark about Drew Cain’s shooting.
Unbeknownst to them, Willow Cain herself came to the door and overheard them just as Trina Robinson expressed her disgust at the injustice of the former GH nurse continuing to walk free despite being the guilty party.

Curtis Ashford visited his former friend, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), at Crimson to inquire about a past-due report. The Crimson Editor-in-Chief promised to get it to him and wondered if they had been reduced to boss and employee.
He confirmed that their friendship was over because of her betrayal of his ex-wife, which had landed the pregnant doctor on the shooting suspect list and had outed her relationship with Dr. Gannon.
They also touched on the Aurora CEO’s betrayal of Reeves when he exposed her romantic entanglement with Drew Cain to her daughter on her wedding day. They apologized to each other for the impact of the secrets they had revealed in their respective feuds with the disgraced congressman, and Reeves continued to prod Curtis Ashford to reignite their friendship.
Once he assented, they talked about how happy the former private investigator currently was with his place in life. The renewed friends then dined together and shared opinions over Willow Cain’s continued focus on Drew Cain, perhaps to the detriment of her own desires.
Across town, the SRE Worldwide COO arrived at the funeral of Rios, once again offering her condolences to her boss. Jordan Ashford updated Sidwell about the ongoing murder investigation, though he continued to be dissatisfied with the lack of progress toward getting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) charged with the crime.
The former police commissioner then went to talk to Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and marveled at her ability to play nice with Sidwell.
Gannon also attended the memorial service to pay his respects, offering comforting words to his friend and colleague, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis). He chatted about the situation with Jordan Ashford, and after the service, Gannon cautioned his ex about her continued involvement with the dangerous Sidwell.
Despite the warnings, Jordan Ashford insisted she knew what she was doing.
