Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) met up with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) for lunch at Bobbie’s, giving her a heads-up that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might end up distracted from her burgeoning music showcase due to family drama. He was upset that his girlfriend got sucked into such a messy family situation when she’d finally decided to do something for herself. Scorpio-Drake suggested that the art history major could channel her complicated feelings into her music, and Taylor enthusiastically agreed.
Meanwhile, Trina Robinson visited Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at her apartment to get answers about her father’s altercation with Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) walked in, claiming that he had a good reason for punching the transplant surgeon.
The Aurora Media CEO recounted the events and declared that he merely gave the General Hospital doctor a fight that he wanted. His daughter wondered about the legal implications, but Jordan and Curtis Ashford were certain that their friend, Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), wouldn’t prosecute given that the argument had been “Heated on both sides.”
Later, the SRE Worldwide COO worried about what this feud was doing to her boyfriend’s daughter and wanted all parties to move on, but Curtis Ashford refused to drop his vendetta.
Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Dr. Gannon were at the hospital being questioned by Turner. The acting district attorney wanted to get the facts of Curtis Ashford’s assault on Gannon straight before deciding to prosecute or not.
After questioning the victim on his version of events, she asked Dr. Robinson for corroboration. The expecting mother explained that her ex-husband had been out of control, remorseless and goading her boyfriend even after the punch.
The couple also emphasized that due to the broken hand Dr. Gannon sustained during the altercation, a nine-year-old boy named Derek would have trouble getting a replacement surgeon for his highly specialized auxiliary transplant procedure. After Turner excused herself, the transplant surgeon thanked his partner for her support.
Trina Robinson also visited her mother, hoping to broker peace in the name of her baby brother or sister. Ahead of the arraignment, she wanted Dr. Gannon to show her father mercy. However, Dr. Robinson felt the request was unfair.
Meanwhile, Taylor ran into Gannon while on his way to visit Derek. The doctor explained that he’d just come from telling Derek and his worried parents that his transplant would possibly be delayed.
He vented to the congressional intern about the guilt he felt about “provoking” Curtis Ashford since it might cost his patient his life, but Taylor did not want Dr. Gannon to blame himself.
Trina Robinson went to check up on her boyfriend at the hospital and was hit with hard truths. After the former Port Charles University quarterback explained that Derek could suffer due to the actions of the Aurora Media CEO, his girlfriend was saddened and saw things differently.
Later on, Turner arrived at the Ashford home, and her friends were shocked to learn that Curtis Ashford would indeed be charged with felony assault and battery.

Trina Robinson visited Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) at Bobbie’s to inform him that she wouldn’t be able to make their music rehearsal due to her anguish over her family drama. Her friend listened sympathetically as she recounted how her dad’s actions affected Derek’s ability to receive lifesaving medical care.
It made her reevaluate the way she had consistently stood behind the former private investigator during his rights and wrongs, even at her mother’s expense. Upset, she wanted to cancel her showcase.
The former violinist advised her to reconsider, as it wouldn’t help anyone, and instead encouraged her to channel her pain into the music. She ultimately decided to keep going and go to rehearsal.
At the Aurora Media office, Curtis Ashford met with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to discuss his legal predicament. He admitted that he didn’t regret putting his hands on Dr. Gannon, but he was sorry for the public relations troubles he was causing Corinthos and the company.
The Quartermaine heir promised to have his back but played devil’s advocate as the media mogul continued to lay out his reasons for suspecting that the General Hospital surgeon was involved in the infamous car accident. Still, the Ashford patriarch was confident that he could negotiate a “Slap on the wrist” plea deal and not miss his child’s birth.
Concurrently, Portia Robinson visited Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) to chat with them. Dr. Robinson thanked Quartermaine-Chase for supporting her daughter’s musical talents and asked the affluent family for help.
When the former General Hospital chief of staff explained the expensive plan for Derek’s trip to Chicago and surgery, Quartermaine and Quartermaine-Chase agreed to finance it.
Dr. Robinson later barged into her ex-husband’s office to confront him about the damage he had caused to Gannon’s hand and career. The remorseless Aurora Media CEO asserted that these events were put in motion when the transplant surgeon had left him and Jordan Ashford to die. Challenging him, Dr. Robinson asked what he would do when her boyfriend was proven innocent.

Dr. Robinson continued to be disgusted as her ex-husband laid all the blame at her lover’s feet — even after she told him about the impact on Derek. The former private investigator refused to budge from his car accident conspiracy theory and even demanded that his ex-wife keep Gannon away from their new baby.
Furious, the former General Hospital chief of staff threatened to retaliate by banning Jordan Ashford from having any relationship with the baby. When her ex-husband tried to minimize her relationship with Dr. Gannon, she called out the media executive’s role in the dissolution of their marriage and declared that Gannon gave her the love and acceptance she never got previously.
Enraged and exhausted, Dr. Robinson told the father of her children to worry about his own charges for assault — ones she’d happily recount on the witness stand of a trial given that she’d seen it with her own eyes.
Viewers can watch “General Hospital” Monday through Friday, airing on ABC at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EST.
