Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) continued to suspiciously eye the mysterious champagne that was sent to him and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley). The supermodel commented on her husband’s interest in the bottle, and Andre Richardson said he was simply intrigued by its design.

Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix) was ending a late-night meal with Dr. Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan) when Pamela Curtis (Cady McClain) stopped by their table and attempted to convince Dr. Rollins to model for her.

After Curtis excused herself to take a phone call, Dr. Dupree and Dr. Rollins sneakily and hastily left Uptown. Curtis then called her best friend and asked her to stop by the restaurant so she could share some news. Andre Richardson also decided to tag along.

The married couple joined Curtis, who revealed that a prominent reporter wanted to do an exclusive interview on Dani Dupree’s comeback and feature her entire family. The model agent mentioned that Andre Richardson should appear on camera, making him visibly nervous.

Curtis and Dani Dupree then performed their secret handshake and decided to teach the renowned photographer how to do it. As they celebrated, they were unaware that someone was watching them from outside Uptown.

Before Congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) headed off to play pickleball at the country club, they ran into Anastasia Belleclaire (Timeca M. Seretti), who wanted to “congratulate” the congressman on his primary victory.

As Belleclaire rambled about how Dr. Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) had saved her face during the tornado, Congressman Richardson began having disturbing flashbacks to his traumatizing night on the country road. The memories caused the politician to snap at Belleclaire before apologizing and offering to pay for her meal.

At Garland Memorial Hospital, Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) greeted her bestie, Naomi Hamilton-Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit), who had arrived to consult with a witness in Dr. Madison Montgomery’s (Kenjah McNeil) case. Hamilton-Hawthorne also surprised Morgan with a spa package.

Feeling guilty, Morgan admitted that she had discussed her best friend’s BRCA diagnosis with Dani Dupree, but Hamilton-Hawthorne assured her it was okay. The friends then caught up on the case, and Shanice Johnson’s (Ernestine Johnson) love declarations to Dr. Richardson.

Dr. Dupree later stopped by to see her ex-husband and talk about him being in love again. Dr. Richardson confirmed that he was in love with Johnson, and the renowned psychiatrist said she was happy for him.

While Dr. Richardson had moved on, Dr. Dupree stated that she was not ready to commit her heart to anyone. The plastic surgeon shared his opinion, saying that deep down Dr. Dupree had already chosen Dr. Rollins.

Dr. Richardson also told his ex-wife that he wanted to be someone she could turn to whenever she needed to talk. Although Nicole Dupree initially protested, she agreed that they could try being friends.

Dani Dupree and Andre Richardson playfully giggled as they relaxed in their bed. The Tia Allen interview came up again, and Dani Dupree tried to assure her husband that it would be a good thing.

Their conversation was interrupted by a call from Nicole Dupree, who asked her younger sister to meet her at the country club. Before Dani Dupree left, Andre Richardson once again showed interest in the infamous champagne bottle.

Dr. Dupree wanted to talk about Dr. Richardson. As the sisters talked, Nicole Dupree realized that she had been blind to the fact that she had never truly chosen Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley).

Meanwhile, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) began interviewing Noah Rollins (Nick Hagelin), but Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) showed up, insisting that she was responsible for the clinic’s hiring decisions. After learning that Dr. Rollins was Noah Rollins’ father, Leslie Thomas immediately began throwing shade at Dr. Dupree.

The Phoenix Street Free Clinic investor asked a series of inappropriate interview questions. Despite her daughter’s objections to hiring Noah Rollins, Leslie Thomas wanted him for the position, noting that the late Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) had also lacked experience.

At Uptown, Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Hamilton-Hawthorne discussed Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) being upset about the handbag designer’s livestream with Eva Thomas. Chelsea Hamilton stated that her cousin had been spiraling ever since the surgery and seemed to be looking for another reason to feud with her half-sister.

As they talked, Hamilton-Hawthorne became increasingly passionate about the subject, making her younger sister realize that something was wrong. The attorney admitted that she had been clashing with their mother.

Kat Richardson met with Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) at Orphey Gene’s. They discussed the fallout from Chelsea Hamilton’s livestream. Deanna McBride stated that she had not realized Chelsea Hamilton and Eva Thomas were close. She also said that Kat Richardson’s advice inspired her to handle Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) differently.

Deanna McBride excused herself from the table, claiming that her mother was calling. Instead, she slipped away to speak to a photo of her late father, Dr. Doug McBride (Jason Graham).

Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami Friebe) noticed Deanna McBride sitting alone and checked to see if she was okay. The Banneker student claimed that she had been talking to a friend, and Izaiah Hawthorne reminded her that she could always text him if she needed anything.

Later, Andre Richardson sat down with his cousin and told her that he had seen the infamous livestream. Although Kat Richardson expected criticism, Andre Richardson admitted that he understood her decision to stay behind the camera. Their conversation shifted to the Tia Allen interview, and Kat Richardson assured her cousin that he did not have to do anything that made him uncomfortable.

Hamilton-Hawthorne then texted Kat Richardson and invited her to Uptown, hoping that she and Chelsea Hamilton would finally settle their differences. Unaware of Hamilton-Hawthorne’s plan, Kat Richardson insisted that the attorney choose a side since she arranged the meeting. Instead, the conversation led Kat Richardson and Chelsea Hamilton to find common ground and reconcile.

Leslie Thomas later approached Nicole and Dani Dupree at the country club to brag about hiring Dr. Rollins’ son as her new manager. The free clinic investor also claimed that Noah Rollins was confused after she mentioned Dr. Dupree’s extracurricular activities.

Knife in hand, Dani Dupree warned Leslie Thomas not to speak to her older sister that way. Dr. Dupree ultimately handled the situation herself by bursting Leslie Thomas’ bubble and revealing that Dr. Richardson was in love with Johnson.

Kat Richardson, Hamilton-Hawthorne and Chelsea Hamilton looked on as Morgan and Grayson Perez (Jordi Vilasuso) shared a passionate kiss. After Morgan joined the trio’s table, the group chatted about several topics, including Dr. Montgomery’s whereabouts.

Hamilton-Hawthorne then received a notification that the family would be joining them at Uptown, making her realize it would be the first time she’d seen her mother since their recent disagreement.

Congressman Richardson stopped by to visit his grandparents at their house. Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) was not home at first but later arrived full of energy and, much to Vernon Dupree’s (Clifton Davis) surprise, announced that she wanted to go out.

As Eva Thomas and Izaiah Hawthorne got ready for their night out, the Banneker advisor told his girlfriend that he had run into Deanna McBride, who seemed to be doing much better. When Eva Thomas emerged, Izaiah Hawthorne was in awe of how beautiful she looked.

An upset Leslie Thomas stormed into Dr. Richardson’s office, complaining that he had chosen someone else over her once again. The plastic surgeon decided it was time to make things clear, explaining that what they had once shared was not love but convenience.

The conversation enraged Leslie Thomas. She warned her ex that when things fell apart with Johnson, she would not be there to pick up the pieces.

Later on, Deanna McBride and Noah Rollins arrived at Uptown, where they continued getting to know one another. The Banneker student opened up about the time she had “crashed out” at the after-party for the free clinic.

Kat Richardson and Chelsea Hamilton then stopped by to greet the duo. After learning Noah Rollins was Dr. Rollins’ son, Kat Richardson shared that her mother was dating his father.

Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) visited Smith, who revealed that he had been nominated for a press award for his article on the red market. Smith also shared that he planned to include the tip line in the story to help generate more leads.

Although Jacob Hawthorne stated that Chief Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik) might not be thrilled with the decision, he fully supported Smith because Baldwin had died saving his life. Their conversation later shifted to Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison), whom Smith remained curious about.

Congressman Richardson called his husband, who was still with Jacob Hawthorne, and asked them both to meet him at Uptown at Anita Dupree’s request. When the two arrived, they ran into Eva Thomas and Izaiah Hawthorne. Jacob Hawthorne invited his brother to join the gathering, but Izaiah Hawthorne declined, much to Eva Thomas’ delight.

Leslie Thomas later arrived at the country club feeling sorry for herself. Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) tried to sympathize with her and offer some advice, but the free clinic investor was not receptive.

At the impromptu family party, Smith and Kat Richardson discussed Wise’s disappearance. The ChelseaKat manager wondered whether Wise might be dead, and the two speculated about what may have happened to her.

Dani Dupree and Hamilton-Hawthorne also shared a breakthrough moment while discussing the BRCA Gene. The supermodel let her eldest daughter know that she would support her no matter what she decided to do regarding her health.

To end the night, Anita Dupree gave a heartfelt speech to her family before everyone formed a Soul Train line and celebrated together.

Chelsea Hamilton met her sister for coffee to strategize about their father’s health. The ChelseaKat designer told Hamilton-Hawthorne that Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) was working from home, and they could tag-team him the way they did as kids.

Meanwhile, at his house, Bill Hamilton discussed the return of his hand tremors with Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings). Concerned, the criminal defense attorney wanted to consult Dr. Montgomery, but Lawson argued that it would be a waste of time since the neurologist hadn’t been able to determine the cause.

Chelsea Hamilton and Hamilton-Hawthorne soon arrived to voice their concerns about their father’s health. When things got heated, Lawson became upset and told them they could leave. Bill Hamilton ultimately agreed it was best for everyone if his daughters took a breather and left.

Andre Richardson visited his uncle at Garland Memorial Hospital, where Dr. Richardson showed the photographer the surprise trip he planned for Johnson. Hoping to have dinner at a museum, Dr. Richardson asked his nephew to help him choose a bottle of champagne, once again prompting Andre Richardson to become distracted by the mysterious bottle someone had sent him and his wife.

Martin and Kat Richardson met for brunch at the country club since they were overdue to catch up. The congressman asked his sister about her conversation with Smith during Anita Dupree’s celebration, and Kat Richardson asserted that she couldn’t risk Smith’s investigation. Their conversation eventually turned to the Richardson-Smith children and the possibility of their parents remarrying.

Nicole Dupree and Dr. Rollins were enjoying some private time together when Dani Dupree unexpectedly walked into Dr. Dupree’s bedroom. The supermodel claimed that she assumed her sister was in danger because she had not answered her phone.

The psychiatrist quickly sent Dani Dupree downstairs while Dr. Rollins showered. The sister-duo discussed Dr. Dupree’s relationship, and she insisted that her connection with Dr. Rollins was growing, but they weren’t going to rush into an exclusive relationship.

Chelsea Hamilton and Hamilton-Hawthorne later joined their cousin at the country club. The attorney filled Kat Richardson in on what had happened at Bill Hamilton’s house, and the three began comparing notes about Lawson.

Their suspicions escalated after Hamilton-Hawthorne revealed that Lawson had faked her ultrasound. Although they suspected the paralegal was trying to isolate Bill Hamilton, they admitted that they had no concrete proof. Dani Dupree soon arrived while the trio was discussing “Sammy” (Maurice P. Kerry), and she revealed that his real name was Randy Parker.

Meanwhile, Lawson told her husband that she had reviewed his fitness tracker data, which she thought proved he was only experiencing symptoms after visits from his daughters. The paralegal suggested that they take a getaway trip to help Bill Hamilton relax.

Lawson promised that if the criminal defense attorney experienced more symptoms, she would take him to the hospital immediately. Bill Hamilton understood and also made it clear that they still needed to discuss the way Lawson had treated his daughters.

Congressman Richardson later pulled his father aside after they overheard Dr. Rollins seemingly confessing his love for Nicole Dupree. Dr. Richardson pointed out that the orthopedic surgeon didn’t actually use those words. Ted Richardson reiterated that he was happy with Nurse Johnson and was just friends with Dr. Dupree.

At the country club, the Hamilton sisters told their mother that Lawson had kicked them out of their father’s house. Dani Dupree was furious after hearing what happened and announced that she was heading over to confront Bill Hamilton. Despite her daughters’ protests, the supermodel went anyway.

Bill Hamilton told Lawson she had no right to kick his daughters out and made it clear that she was wrong. The defense attorney warned his wife that it could not happen again.

Lawson argued that all she wanted was for Bill Hamilton’s children to show her basic decency. After the two continued to argue, Lawson stormed out.

Deanna McBride stopped by to see Vanessa McBride to pick up the paperwork for Kat Richardson’s condo closing. Everything seemed to be going well until Armstrong commented that it had been a good night for the casino and they would be making a lot of money.

His remarks set off the Banneker student, who called him a “heartless bastard” for showing no remorse towards the people who had lost everything because of the Lakeview Casino. Vanessa McBride addressed her daughter’s outburst and told her to apologize.

Deanna McBride declared that the casino was not a good place for her to be. Before leaving, she apologized to Armstrong.

Lawson later met Parker at Uptown and recapped what happened with her husband’s daughters. The paralegal insisted that she had been monitoring Bill Hamilton through his fitness tracker before confessing her plan to kill him while they were in St. Barts.

Dani Dupree arrived at Bill Hamilton’s house to give him a piece of her mind. The defense attorney explained that he had already spoken to Lawson about her behavior, but Dani Dupree remained upset.

The supermodel also reminded her ex-husband that he had always been a terrible patient. Before Dani Dupree left, Bill Hamilton assured her that he would be fine.

Kat Richardson, Chelsea Hamilton and Hamilton-Hawthorne continued their conversation at Hamilton-Hawthorne’s home. They talked about Parker, whom they now knew as Randy instead of Sammy.

The handbag designer gave her cousin a physical description of Parker, but Hamilton-Hawthorne suggested they keep things as stress-free as possible for Bill Hamilton. Kat Richardson took notes just in case.

Deanna McBride caught up with Parker at Orphey Gene’s before Kat Richardson arrived. The McBride daughter gave her friend the condo paperwork. Before leaving, Kat Richardson asked Deanna McBride who she had just been talking to and learned it was Parker. She was immediately intrigued.

Later, Bill Hamilton met with his two daughters to make things right. He thanked them for caring about his health but declared that managing it was ultimately his responsibility.

Bill Hamilton suggested that common ground would come from everyone respecting boundaries. He asked the Hamilton sister-duo to call before coming over. Chelsea Hamilton initially pushed back and was offended, but she and her sister ultimately agreed to the new rules.

Parker later received a call from Armstrong, who said that while Deanna McBride still had disdain for him, she was no longer a threat. Once Kat Richardson realized who Parker was, she decided to remain at Orphey Gene’s.
