At the country club, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) shared the picture of her sunglasses and the text messages that Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) had sent. Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) suggested that her friend strategically left the sunglasses at the Hamilton residence for Lawson to discover.

However, the supermodel insisted that she didn’t leave the glasses on purpose. Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) then walked up in the midst of the conversation and asked what her youngest daughter had done now.

The Dupree matriarch quickly shared details about her new music before returning to questioning Dani Dupree, who revealed that Lawson had kicked Naomi Hamilton-Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) out and was possibly cheating on Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett).

Wanting to hear more of the tea, Anita Dupree decided to stay with Dani Dupree and Vanessa McBride before her appointment. While the model spilled her suspicions about the paralegal cheating with Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry), the Fairmont Crest realtor insisted that Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrom) not-so-wealthy henchman wouldn’t be Lawson’s type.

The conversation prompted Anita Dupree to announce that she caught Lawson getting cozy with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor, YR) during the tornado. The Dupree matriarch had also warned Abbott about Lawson’s manipulative ways.

At Orphey Gene’s, Mona Wilson (Karan Kendrick) greeted Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) with a hug and asked about her recovery. The two quickly caught up before Wilson went over to speak to Parker, which caught Kat Richardson’s attention.

Meanwhile, Hamilton-Hawthorne and Chelsea Hamilton continued to talk about the tension that Bill Hamilton was dealing with between his two families. The conversation shifted when the handbag designer saw that her livestream with Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) had gone viral. The Hamilton sisters also talked about how they believed their cousin, Kat Richardson, had obsessive tendencies.

Bill Hamilton arrived at Lakeview Casino to seek advice from Armstrong. The criminal defense attorney discussed his uncertainty about his health and how it made him fearful of leaving things unfinished. Bill Hamilton asked the casino owner to look after his family should he meet an untimely demise.

A frustrated Lawson tried to reach her cousin, who didn’t answer because he was sitting down with Wilson. Parker admitted that he had been flying solo since his last entanglement, while Wilson admitted that she cares for him. Later on, Lawson took out her frustrations by breaking Dani Dupree’s sunglasses.

Kat Richardson continued to watch Parker and Wilson from afar. As soon as Parker left, the ChelseaKat manager went over to Wilson’s table to ask questions about him.

After finding out that Parker worked with Armstrong, Kat Richardson quickly said goodbye to Wilson and hurried to see her cousins so she could share what she had learned. When she arrived back at Hamilton-Hawthorne’s home, she found the Hamilton sisters asking Lawson to leave.

Kat Richardson shared her theories before Dani Dupree arrived to reveal what she had also uncovered about Parker. They thought Lawson would be stupid to cheat because, according to Hamilton-Hawthorne, Bill Hamilton most likely put the same no-cheating clause in his prenuptial agreement that he made her add to her documents with Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges).

Hamilton-Hawthorne left her cousin, sister and mother to visit Bill Hamilton’s law firm to see if she could obtain a copy of her father’s prenuptial agreement with Lawson. At the office, the attorney searched Bill Hamilton’s computer but was interrupted by Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria).

Navarro was immediately hostile toward Hamilton-Hawthorne, seemingly viewing her as a threat to his position at the law firm. Hamilton-Hawthorne told him he could relax since she had no interest in working full-time for her father.

While the attorney was out, Kat Richardson, Chelsea Hamilton and Dani Dupree continued discussing a plan to bring Lawson down. Jacob Hawthorne then arrived home to find them, with his wife nowhere in sight.

They explained that Hamilton-Hawthorne had gone to Bill Hamilton’s office. Once Kat Richardson and Dani Dupree left, the ChelseaKat designer told her brother-in-law what her family had been planning regarding Lawson.

At Uptown, Eva Thomas treated Noah Rollins (Nick Hagelin) to dinner to celebrate his successful first day as manager of the Phoenix Street Free Clinic. Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) soon walked up to their table and mused about how she was right about hiring the musician.

The free clinic investor disclosed that her daughter had been healing from a liver transplant, prompting Eva Thomas to explain that she hadn’t told Noah Rollins because she didn’t want him treating her like she was fragile, like all her loved ones. Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami Friebe) appeared and remarked that he must be one of those people. After talking about the stress of the day, Izaiah Hawthorne suggested that he and his girlfriend call it a night.

At home, the Banneker University advisor and Eva Thomas started kissing. Izaiah Hawthorne soon realized that his lover was embarrassed by her transplant scar. Izaiah Hawthorne assured Eva Thomas that she was beautiful no matter what and kissed her scar.

Meanwhile, Kat Richardson arrived at the law firm and bumped into Caroline Lee (Ellie Wang). When Lee revealed that she was heading to Uptown, Kat Richardson alerted Chelsea Hamilton so she could talk to Lee for information.

Navarro once again told his girlfriend that her cousin was a threat to his job. Kat Richardson explained that Hamilton-Hawthorne was focused on issues with Lawson, whom Navarro still held a grudge against. Kat Richardson asked her boyfriend for his help in exposing the paralegal, but Navarro declined out of fear that Bill Hamilton would fire him.

At home, Hamilton-Hawthorne gave her husband the breakdown of the Dupree women’s suspicions about Lawson. He surprised her by suggesting that they compare notes. Jacob Hawthorne supported his wife but worried that Dani Dupree or Kat Richardson would take things too far.

Later, Chelsea Hamilton chatted with Lee at Uptown, where Lee revealed that she and Lawson hadn’t hung out much recently. The receptionist clocked that her boss’ daughter was trying to learn about Lawson’s whereabouts, but admitted that she was also concerned.

Dani Dupree went to Lawson and Bill Hamilton’s table at the country club to retrieve her sunglasses. When Lawson handed them over, broken, and claimed they had accidentally gotten stomped on, the supermodel declared that the Dupree women were here to stay.

Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) watched as his wife struggled to perfect the pitch and tone of her singing voice. The retired senator sat down with Anita Dupree and assured her that it was okay if she needed more time to ease her voice back into shape.

At the country club, Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) bumped into Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix). Dr. Fitzgerald asked when he could cash in his rain check for their date, and Dr. Dupree said he could right then, but Leslie Thomas interrupted, shading the psychiatrist about her love triangle.

Tyrell Richardson-Smith (Jaden Lucas Miller) arrived with breakfast for both of his dads, who quickly noticed that their son was buttering them up for something. Tyrell Richardson-Smith revealed that he wanted to spend every weekend on UCLA’s campus with Jessica Harris (Camryn Jade).

Congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) asked if Harris knew about his plans. When the Banneker University freshman admitted that she didn’t, Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) called it a red flag. Upset with the direction of the conversation, Tyrell Richardson-Smith stormed out.

Meanwhile, Harris and Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson) talked about the benefits of traveling versus going to school. After the duo shot a video for ChelseaKat, the 2026 Platinum Debutante noticed that her friend had something on her mind.

Harris admitted that she was starting to realize there was more to the world than the love bubble she had been in with Tyrell Richardson-Smith and revealed that experiencing their first time together had thrown a wrench in her plan to break up with him.

Tyrell Richardson-Smith then arrived at Orphey Gene’s and plopped down in the booth with his sister and Harris. Samantha Richardson-Smith left the couple to talk while the Banneker freshman revealed his plans to his girlfriend. Harris, however, wasn’t on board. She wanted the full college experience and believed he should be experiencing the same, so she wanted them to break up.

Dr. Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) saw that Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) was heavily distracted by his phone. Eventually, the photographer asked his uncle if he could turn back time; would he have told Dr. Dupree about Leslie Thomas?

Andre Richardson admitted that he had done some things before getting together with Dani Dupree that were now becoming difficult to keep secret. Dr. Richardson urged his nephew to remember that honesty was always the best policy.

At the country club, Leslie Thomas told Vernon Dupree that construction would resume on her home because the tornado had erased the encroachment violation. The Dupree patriarch told Leslie Thomas to cut her losses and move out of state.

Despite his attempts to end the conversation, Leslie Thomas continued to harass the retired senator until Izaiah Hawthorne saved the day by interrupting. The youngest Hawthorne son stated that he had a meeting with Vernon Dupree.

Dr. Dupree stopped by to see her mother after Leslie Thomas had gotten under her skin. The psychiatrist questioned whether she had it wrong when it came to how she dealt with men. Anita Dupree advised her eldest daughter to give herself an internal deadline to choose between her two suitors.

Dr. Fitzgerald arrived at the hospital for an appointment with Eva Thomas. Without her father’s knowledge, the free clinic manager wanted to consult with the plastic surgeon about what could be done about her transplant scar.

Dr. Fitzgerald revealed that the scar was healing properly. However, there was nothing he could do until the tissue had healed. Eva Thomas became upset because she wanted to speed up the process and tearfully admitted that she didn’t feel like herself.

As Andre Richardson attempted to confide in his wife about his past, Chelsea Hamilton came into their home to tell her mother that she was right about Lawson. The handbag designer sat down with the married duo and revealed what she learned from Lee.

Dani Dupree warned her daughter that Lee couldn’t be trusted because her loyalty was to Bill Hamilton. At that moment, the criminal defense attorney called his youngest daughter and asked her to meet him at the country club.

The supermodel was convinced that Lee had thrown Chelsea Hamilton under the bus and told Bill Hamilton what happened at Uptown. After Chelsea Hamilton left, Dani Dupree wanted to continue her initial conversation with her husband, but he reminded her that she had to leave for a meeting.

Meanwhile, Lawson met with Parker, who was concerned that his cousin was going to make the same mistakes she had made with a previous mark. The paralegal was confident that she would get Bill Hamilton on a plane, so that her year-long scheme would be concluded for good.

Back at her home, Lawson called Lee and asked her to clear Bill Hamilton’s schedule for the week. Lee’s hesitation frustrated Lawson, and she blew up. Quickly after, the paralegal apologized and insisted that she and her husband simply needed the vacation.

Bill Hamilton confronted his youngest daughter about approaching Lee. The purse designer responded by reminding her father that everyone had been trying to get through to him, but he refused to listen.

Chelsea Hamilton declared that she believed Lawson was having an affair with Parker and revealed what Anita Dupree had witnessed between Lawson and Abbott during the tornado. Bill Hamilton told Chelsea Hamilton that his marriage was none of her concern.

Nicole Dupree called Dr. Fitzgerald to finish the conversation Leslie Thomas had previously interrupted. The two met at Orphey Gene’s, where Dr. Fitzgerald shared that his talk with her grandson made him realize that he could no longer accept their relationship in its current state.

The plastic surgeon wanted Dr. Dupree to put him first. She responded by telling him that if what she was willing to give wasn’t enough anymore, she had to respect that.

Dr. Fitzgerald asked why she had chosen Dr. Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan) over him, and Dr. Dupree explained that Dr. Rollins represented a true fresh start. The plastic surgeon declared that he’d love to remain friends.

Later, Dr. Richardson met with Leslie Thomas, who shared that Eva Thomas was struggling badly with her surgery scar. The free clinic investor urged the father of her daughter to do something about it.

Dr. Richardson explained that what Eva Thomas was experiencing was normal after a transplant. He also warned that intervening would be unethical and unsafe. An upset Leslie Thomas called him a disgrace of a father and tried to leave, but Dr. Richardson demanded that she sit down and finish the conversation.

Attempting to provide another option, the plastic surgeon suggested that Eva Thomas talk to a professional who could help her navigate her emotional state. This further offended Leslie Thomas. She declared that she would go to Dr. Fitzgerald for assistance, unaware that he had already told her daughter the same sentiment.

Bill Hamilton arrived home and began experiencing more symptoms. As this happened, Lawson pretended not to notice. Bill Hamilton revealed that Chelsea Hamilton had accused the paralegal of having an affair.

Lawson launched into her usual dramatics and told Bill Hamilton that she was sick of all the judgment. She insisted that she could no longer stay in Fairmont Crest and had to go to St. Barts.

Bill Hamilton greeted his wife with a healthy breakfast, hoping she had given up on trying to convince him to go on vacation. However, Lawson was more determined than ever to get them out of the country.

The paralegal continued to express her need to protect her mental health and threatened to go to St. Barts alone if necessary. Lawson’s mind games worked, and Bill Hamilton finally gave in, agreeing to go with her. The criminal defense attorney stated that he needed to pick up some case files first.

Dani Dupree met with her friend to catch her up on the meeting with Tatum Stewart. As they started discussing Lawson and Parker, Vanessa McBride questioned why the supermodel cared so much about whether Lawson was unfaithful to Bill Hamilton. The realtor suggested that the elevator tryst may have meant more to Dani Dupree than she realized.

Meanwhile, Andre Richardson met with Smith and admitted that something was bothering him. Hoping to use Smith’s investigative journalism skills, the photographer confessed that he needed to track down the person who had been contacting him.

Dr. Richardson spoke with Eva Thomas about her scar. The Phoenix Street Free Clinic manager pointed out that her half-sister’s surgery had barely left a mark and admitted that every time she looked at her own body, she was reminded that she had a piece of Kat Richardson, who always resented her, inside of her.

Eva Thomas revealed that she had gone to Dr. Fitzgerald, who told her there was nothing they could do about the scar yet. Dr. Richardson suggested therapy, and while his daughter initially declined, she agreed to think about it.

At the law firm, Lee had already gathered the documents Bill Hamilton needed. She questioned whether his doctor had cleared him for travel, but ultimately wished him well.

When Dr. Richardson approached Smith and Andre Richardson’s table, the photographer lied about the topic at hand. Smith asked if the situation could affect Congressman Richardson’s campaign, but Andre Richardson assured him that it was only about someone from his past whom he didn’t want back in his life.

Lawson later called Parker to gloat about her plan working. Her cousin urged her not to celebrate until Bill Hamilton was six feet under.

Bill Hamilton said goodbye to Lee and prepared to leave for his trip. However, he collapsed in the hallway, and Lee found him unconscious. She quickly called for help. Viewers can watch “Beyond the Gates” on CBS at 2 p.m. EST Monday through Friday.
