EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) arrived at the Salem Airfield Dock to get Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) out of the shipping container they assumed she was being held in. Upon their arrival, they instead spotted a weak Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) inside the locked container.

After being taken out, Lexie Carver explained that she had overheard her brother and Lesley’s conversation, where they were discussing a plan to abduct Kristen DiMera. The Carver matriarch continued, stating that she wanted to warn her sister.

Lexie Carver recounted alerting Kristen DiMera about what was going on and telling her that she had made peace with dying alone. The resurrected heroine took her sister’s place as EJ DiMera’s hostage and encouraged her to be free.

Pleading her case, Lexie Carver begged EJ DiMera to send her to DiMera Island so she could live out her remaining days without Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) having to see her demise. EJ DiMera suggested a compromise, saying that Lexie Carver could come home with him. The attorney promised to take care of his sister so no one would see her final days on earth.

Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) ran into each other at the Horton Town Square. They had a brief conversation about how Chanel Dupree-DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) heath was and how she was doing, especially with everything going on.

After Johnny DiMera received a call, Price went over to the Sweet Bits Bakery stand where Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) was running it. The mother-daughter duo began to catch up.

The Salem mayor then shared her theories regarding something strange going on with Lexie Carver. Price explained that she found it odd how Lexie Carver went on a solo trip without Abe Carver, especially after she had been staking her claim to him since her resurrection.

Meanwhile, Lexie and Theo Carver were talking on the phone, and the Carver matriarch lied to her son, saying she had reached her destination of Johannesburg to visit Celeste Perrault (Tanya Boyd). EJ DiMera arrived at the tail end of the conversation and told his sister that she was making a huge mistake.

After Theo Carver ended his chat with his mother, Stephanie Johnson-Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) arrived at DiMera Enterprises. She could tell from Theo Carver’s body language that something was off, and she probed him to see what was going on.

The former DiMera Enterprises CEO confided in Johnson-Kiriakis that he was worried about Lexie Carver. He believed that his mother going all the way to Johannesburg by herself was a very big step, and she didn’t sound like herself on the phone. Johnson-Kiriakis comforted Theo Carver and assured him that everything would be okay.

Back at the square, Price clarified to her daughter that her concern didn’t stem from a place of wanting Abe Carver back. The mayor stated she was simply worried about him, Theo Carver and even Lexie Carver.

Later on, Lexie Carver asked EJ DiMera to bring her some stationery so she could write letters to her husband and son, explaining what was to come. The resurrected Carver matriarch began to cry as she started penning her farewell messages.

Theo Carver stopped by the square and ran into Price-Grant. They shared similar sentiments with each other concerning their worry for Lexie Carver. Days of Our Lives is available to stream daily on Peacock.
