At the Port Charles Surf Lodge, Trina Robinson tried to get into song-planning mode with Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza). However, she could only think of her father, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), going to prison.

With her friend’s support, the Jerome Gallery assistant explained how she’d channeled her feelings into song lyrics instead of choosing between the existing, upbeat songs Simon (Grady Eldridge) wanted her to sing.

When Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) joined them, Trina Robinson was surprised to see Quinn (Jequan Jackson) alongside her. After the former Port Charles University football player explained that he worked at an animal shelter with Scorpio-Drake, Trina Robinson invited him to join their table.

Quinn was excited to hear that the musical duo had an upcoming gig. He surprised the art historian by remembering her previous interest in gallery ownership. After Quinn left, Trina Robinson considered how different he was from his first impression.

As Trina Robinson and Palmieri exchanged photos of their baby siblings, the songstress’ stalker, still unseen, watched her from outside the restaurant.

In their meeting with Simon, Trina Robinson and Palmieri were displeased to hear plans, once again, about their platonic partnership being promoted as a romance to sell their music. The singing duo assured Scorpio-Drake that they wouldn’t support the plan, but the A&R executive insisted that it would be good PR. Trina Robinson and Palmieri still refused, wanting to keep the focus on the music.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) watched a bittersweet moment between her boyfriend and baby Desmond Robinson-Ashford. The Aurora Media CEO could not comprehend missing his son’s first milestones in the same way he’d missed his eldest daughter’s. The former police commissioner assured Curtis Ashford that he could rebuild his father-son bond once he was paroled in two years.

When Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) came by to discuss business, his colleague suggested that Jordan Ashford take over his role while he was imprisoned. After some minor reservations, the former SRE Worldwide COO agreed.

Meanwhile, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) visited Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) at the Quartermaine gatehouse to deliver his resignation. The congresswoman tried to gaslight Taylor regarding Drew Cain’s shooting (Cameron Mathison), but he knew she was guilty and warned that he could still go to the police.

The former Port Charles University quarterback was taken aback when Congresswoman Cain correctly guessed that Trina Robinson was with him on the night of the shooting. Taylor kept shutting down his ex-boss’ veiled threats because he had grown tired of her dodging justice and plotting against Corinthos. He defied Willow Cain’s insinuation that he couldn’t get out of the volatile situation and walked right out the door.

Later, Taylor interrupted his girlfriend’s meeting to tell her that he had finally resigned as Congresswoman Cain’s intern. Trina Robinson was happy and relieved to hear her lover’s news.

However, Taylor warned Trina Robinson that it hadn’t gone over well and that Congresswoman Cain knew about both of their involvement in the shooting. Nevertheless, the young couple was glad they could move on.

Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was elated to return to Dr. Isaiah Gannon’s (Sawandi Wilson) cabin. Though she loved spending time with her newborn son, she’d missed her partner’s love and safety.

When the couple lamented how circumstances could’ve been different for her ex-husband if he had simply taken accountability, Dr. Gannon explained that he’d kept his distance so he wouldn’t be taking advantage of his adversary’s situation.

Dr. Robinson wanted Curtis Ashford to get paroled early for their children’s sake but hoped the animosity would end once he was out. Wanting to advance that goal, the transplant surgeon suggested dropping his civil suit.

The former General Hospital chief of staff felt her boyfriend was entitled to compensation from her ex-husband, but Gannon was willing to make this gesture since his hand was healing nicely. His consideration and compassion touched Dr. Robinson, and the duo kissed.

Before the renowned doctors made love, Gannon ensured that the love of his life felt ready and had recovered from giving birth. In the afterglow, Dr. Robinson expressed her gratitude and said she couldn’t be happier to be with Dr. Gannon.

After he had concluded a sobriety meeting, Curtis Ashford was checked on by Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about how he was coping with his pending jail sentence, worried he’d turn back to drugs. When the media mogul questioned how he’d hold onto his sobriety, Davis advised going to available 12-step meetings and focusing on his loved ones, “One day at a time.”

Portia Robinson thanked her eldest child for watching Robinson-Ashford the previous night and asked if she could babysit for a few more hours. Trina Robinson wondered why her mother wasn’t staying to say goodbye to Curtis Ashford before he left for Pentonville Penitentiary. However, the former General Hospital chief of staff felt it would be kinder not to be there.

Dr. Robinson met with Ava Jerome (Maura West) at the Metro Court’s rooftop restaurant and was displeased to see Drew Cain. When the former congressman apologized for his past antagonism, Portia Robinson wasn’t ready to forgive him just yet. She instead suggested that they just stay out of each other’s way, not wanting to continue feuding.

Once Drew Cain left, Portia Robinson warned Jerome not to trust him. When the two friends began talking about their contentious relationships with their children’s fathers, Dr. Robinson said she wished things hadn’t gotten so bad with Curtis Ashford.

With the media executive’s upcoming arrival at Pentonville in mind, Dr. Robinson asked Jerome to watch over Trina Robinson. The art gallery owner promised to support both Robinson women.

Meanwhile, at their apartment, the newly convicted felon reluctantly prepared to leave Jordan Ashford, but she pulled him back into their bed. Afterward, Curtis Ashford explained that he didn’t want to make their parting worse by having his girlfriend drive him to prison.

Instead, the duo met up with Corinthos for Jordan Ashford’s introduction to her new job. After receiving well wishes from his colleague, Curtis Ashford shared a tearful goodbye with his partner.

The goodbyes didn’t end there. Curtis Ashford had one last visit with his kids, though he was admittedly “eager” to start his prison sentence and get it over with.

The former private investigator cuddled his baby boy, and Trina Robinson assured her father she’d visit him in prison with Robinson-Ashford to stay close. Curtis Ashford kissed both his children on the forehead and bid them a sorrowful farewell.

As Trina Robinson serenaded her baby brother, her dad was taken to Pentonville and put behind bars. Viewers can watch “General Hospital” Monday through Friday, airing on ABC at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EST.
