Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) lovingly watched over Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) as he hummed to Desmond Robinson-Ashford. The Robinson matriarch thanked her lover for letting Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) “have his moment” at the hospital.

Dr. Gannon acknowledged that he’s fully cognizant of the fact that he’s not Robinson-Ashford’s father, but Portia Robinson insisted that her son would know and love him anyway.

Following a quick photoshoot session, Dr. Robinson went to put her baby to bed. Dr. Gannon was then irritated by a knock at the door, assuming it was Curtis Ashford. Instead, he opened the door to Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett).

After awkward introductions, the musician explained his impatience regarding meeting his grandson. When Portia Robinson walked back in, the two had a joyful reunion and shared a warm hug.

The proud grandfather doted on Robinson-Ashford, promising that he would always be there for him as Dr. Robinson and Dr. Gannon looked on. Afterward, Marshall Ashford asked his former daughter-in-law about her living arrangements and was pleased that Dr. Gannon was around to help out, but also had his own place.

Before Marshall Ashford took his leave, the General Hospital transplant surgeon expressed a desire to get to know him. While the musician stated that his loyalty would always be to his son, he hoped to know Dr. Gannon as well. Everyone hoped to move forward after Curtis Ashford’s assault trial.

Later on, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) met Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) for drinks at the Metro Court pool, and they were joined by Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). The Jerome Gallery assistant watched awkwardly as Jacks explained her involvement with the WSB to Scorpio-Drake, who quickly grew upset. When asked for her opinion, Trina Robinson voiced her love and support for her best friend but later admitted that she was scared for Jacks and concerned.

Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) then arrived with the news that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was now walking and talking after months trapped by Locked In Syndrome. This left Trina Robinson incredibly shocked.

At the Metro Court pool, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) stepped in to help Trina Robinson when she dropped her tote. After noticing that his girlfriend was visibly flustered, the congressional intern asked her what was on her mind. Trina Robinson told him that Drew Cain had regained his speech and mobility.

The couple speculated about whether Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) had tried to drown her husband and why Drew Cain wasn’t pursuing charges against her. They then assumed blackmail was on the table.

Ultimately, the art history major was just eager to put the whole situation, specifically what they knew about the former congressman’s shooting, behind them. However, Taylor felt it was important to expose the “toxic” married couple since Willow Cain and Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) two kids would be in the middle. Together, the young lovers decided they needed to alert Corinthos that they could prove his ex-wife had shot Drew Cain.

Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) visited with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and learned about Quartermaine’s recent business troubles. Henry advised her dear friend not to worry about Deception Cosmetics’ power struggles before venting about her own fears regarding Curtis Ashford’s upcoming assault trial.

The General Hospital Chief Administrator confessed that she didn’t share her nephew’s conviction about Dr. Gannon’s involvement in the car accident that almost killed Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). Henry also worried about Portia Robinson’s testimony.

The patient advocate honestly felt that Curtis Ashford had made a mistake assaulting his rival and not taking the offered plea deal, but she ultimately would support her family.

At the hospital, Dr. Gannon apologized to Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) for having to take a week off. The transplant surgeon then revealed to a curious Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that he was taking Curtis Ashford to court for assault.

Dr. Gannon explained his frustration to the OB-GYN about the entire situation, which was distracting him from the joy of the new baby and requiring another agonizing court witness experience for Portia Robinson. When Gannon declared his desire to nail the Aurora Media CEO in court, Dr. Westbourne advised him not to come off so aggressive.

The surgeon assured Westbourne that he would not talk at the trial the way he would to a friend, and she was touched that he considered her one. They also joked about her forced role on the Port Charles softball team.

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford was at Dr. Robinson’s home with their daughter, Trina Robinson, and their son. The looming trial was a shadow over the family’s excitement, but Trina Robinson’s happiness strengthened once her grandfather, Marshall Ashford, showed up.

The Ashford’s discussed their shared musical gifts and wondered what Robinson-Ashford’s would be. Later, Marshall Ashford advised his son that he was taking a risk by not taking the plea deal.

The former private investigator insisted that he could not accept years in jail or Gannon moving in with his ex-wife and raising their son. Henry then arrived and was especially excited to greet her brother-in-law and great nephew. As Marshall Ashford noted that Robinson-Ashford had Irene Ashford’s eyes, Henry reminded him that she lived in all of them.

Later on, Trina Robinson met with Ava Jerome (Maura West), and the singer was amused to see her mentor kissing Ethan Lovett (Christian Howard). Trina Robinson expressed her approval after Jerome expressed her happiness at the new relationship.

Viewers can watch “General Hospital” Monday through Friday, airing on ABC at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EST.
