Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) explained to her parents, Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), that she wouldn’t ice them out but would be making changes to their relationship. The ex-spouses assured her that they understood and apologized for how their feud had affected not just the baby shower, but her well-being in general.
The art history major was pleased to hear about Dr. Robinson and Curtis Ashford’s plans to move forward with civility and a more parallel co-parenting approach but requested less attention from both of them.
Trina Robinson reasoned that she would no longer put her parents’ needs and drama ahead of her own relationships, goals and education, and noted that their baby shower argument had been the reality check that prompted this choice. Dr. Robinson and Curtis Ashford were extremely contrite and promised to give their daughter whatever she needed to help her put herself first.
Though they were devastated about their firstborn’s request for distance, at least until the birth of her sibling, the General Hospital doctor and her ex-husband acquiesced. After Trina Robinson left, the former married couple promised each other to do better with their next child.

At their apartment, Curtis Ashford apologized to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) for having to skip breakfast to attend a business meeting. Absorbed in notes, the former police commissioner looked for clues concerning the whereabouts of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), who was now a criminal at large.
She lamented the likely loss of her current job as SRE Worldwide COO, even though she’d only taken the role to covertly surveil her boss. Jordan Ashford admitted that the benefits from the position had been fantastic.
Before taking his leave, the Aurora Media CEO assured his love that her new skills and investments would continue to pay off and that she would likely find the clues she needed.
Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who was eager to find Sidwell herself, dropped by at Jordan Ashford’s invitation. With their combined brain power, the ladies deduced the criminal was likely hiding in plain sight at a house he’d intended as a wedding gift to his deceased son, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
The two summoned Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), believing him to be his twin brother, Detective Nathan West, to give him the intel. The mayor and former deputy mayor then agreed to his request that they remain discreet about their suspicions.
At the Metro Court, Curtis Ashford greeted Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Sutton) and Quartermaine-Chase’s foster daughter, Phoebe. Seeing the baby made him all the more eager for the birth of his own child.
Later on, the Aurora Media CEO and congresswoman began their meeting, with the media mogul excited about Cain’s childcare program. Just as Curtis Ashford began planning a news piece on the program’s launch, Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) arrived to serve the politician with a warrant to search her vehicle’s trip log.
Curtis Ashford was surprised to learn that she was now the suspected and infamous “other driver” involved in his and Jordan Ashford’s recent car accident.

Curtis Ashford was appalled that the Port Charles Police Department was investigating Cain rather than the person he considered guilty of callously leaving the scene of his accident: Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
He felt that the detective was “overstepping” like he had when he’d arrested the Ashford patriarch for assault, but the congresswoman left for questioning anyway to avoid bad press that could come her way.
Gannon overheard the Aurora Media CEO explain the scene to a concerned Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and asked if Cain was now a suspect. Chase and Curtis Ashford were certain of the congresswoman’s innocence.
Once Chase left, Curtis Ashford blamed the General Hospital transplant surgeon for the situation. He asserted that “innocent” Cain was suffering for the crime he still suspected Dr. Gannon of committing.
The adversaries traded barbs, and Gannon left after delivering a “promise” that if the media mogul continued disparaging his name around town, he’d face more than the assault charges he was currently under.
Curtis Ashford went to the police station and met with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who was appalled that her daughter was under suspicion. He assured his friend that Cain would be absolved of the crime, once again insisting that Dr. Gannon was guilty.
He was also present when Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) informed Congresswoman Cain that her trip log showed she was on the road within seconds of the accident.
Meanwhile, Gannon asked Quartermaine-Chase if she had any intel on the investigation. The foster mother explained the PCPD’s interest in Cain’s vehicle trip log, leading the doctor to realize they had probable cause.
While Gannon didn’t wish harm on Cain, he hoped that this was a step toward Curtis Ashford realizing that his destruction of Gannon’s medical career was built on a false assumption. Unknowingly, he was pulling at the conscience of Quartermaine-Chase, the actual “other driver.”
Viewers can watch “General Hospital” Monday through Friday, airing on ABC at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EST.
