Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) discussed the optics of business. In the midst of their conversation, Theo Carver delivered a stunning blow: he would not be taking over DiMera Enterprises.

Johnny DiMera was blindsided by this declaration, but Theo Carver refused to give any answers or an explanation for the change of heart. Theo Carver then visited EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) at the DiMera mansion and confirmed that he would be stepping down as CEO at DiMera Enterprises.

The uncle-nephew duo later had a candid conversation about the resurrection of Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford), which Theo Carver had, shockingly, learned last week, even seeing his mother for himself.

Theo Carver stated that his father, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), would be on “cloud nine” to have his presumed dead wife back, but also that he feels for his stepmother, Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry).

Theo Carver spent more time with his uncle, asking about Lexie Carver’s condition, since EJ DiMera had been visiting her regularly. EJ DiMera stated that Lexie Carver was still unconscious, but that her vitals had improved “Dramatically.”

The two went down to visit Lexie Carver, and EJ DiMera left to give Theo Carver some privacy with his mother. Theo Carver reminisced about his childhood and moments with his parents, remembering a time when he was sad and didn’t have many friends because he was “Different,” and recalling Lexie Carver assuring him, “Theo, what’s different about you is what makes you special.”

After stating that his mother had always been there for him, Lexie Carver called her son’s name and opened her eyes. Lexie Carver had woken up from her coma. With the moment feeling surreal, Theo Carver then rushed to tell Abe Carver the news.

However, as he started to head out the door, Lexie Carver told him he couldn’t do that because she was still asleep. The most shocking part was that Lexie Carver hadn’t actually woken up at all. Theo Carver was, in fact, dreaming the entire ordeal and jumped from the bed in his mother’s room.

Chanel Dupree-DiMera (Raven Bowens) and Johnny DiMera discussed whether the Sweet Bits Bakery owner would be okay with her husband staying on as CEO of DiMera Enterprises. Dupree-DiMera said that she wouldn’t ask Johnny DiMera to turn down the job.

Dupree-DiMera understood that her lover wanted to have a relationship with his father and be part of his family’s legacy, saying, “It’s wrong for me to try to stand in the way of that.” The married couple agreed that Johnny DiMera would continue his work, but with clear ground rules going forward.

Later, Price-Carver and Dupree-DiMera had lunch, and Dupree-DiMera could tell that her mother was wrestling with something on her mind. Before the mayor could speak, Abe Carver and Theo Carver arrived. Theo Carver admitted to his father and stepmother that he would be officially stepping down as the CEO of DiMera.

The conversation was intriguing as neither Price-Carver nor Theo Carver knew that the other had seen the newly resurrected Lexie Carver. Days of Our Lives is available to stream daily on Peacock.
