Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) called Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) back to his home. She arrived, still apologetic, but Hamilton stopped her, clarifying that he just wanted to talk to his sister.
The conversation quickly turned to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), who was being sent to a psychiatric facility after she kidnapped Hamilton’s son, Dominic.
Hamilton struggled with the decision, questioning whether Copeland was avoiding real consequences. Lily Winters gently pushed back, asking if treatment might be what she truly needed. Hamilton agreed that she needed help but feared she was getting off too easily.
Lily Winters urged her brother not to live in fear and reminded him that his son was safe. The music producer, however, blamed himself for not being more vigilant the day his son disappeared. Hamilton felt that if Copeland could make that kind of decision, she was not the person she used to be.
At Society, Hamilton later met his wife, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), who had been discussing Copeland with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). While Abby Newman admitted she was conflicted, Hamilton was not – he believed that Copeland deserved prison time.
The music producer declared that he would take matters further, vowing to ensure that the judge and district attorney were held accountable and that his son had justice.
Back at Crimson Lights, Lily Winters and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) had a tense run-in. Ashby insisted that they avoid each other moving forward and walked away despite his ex-wife’s attempt to talk.
After Ashby left, Novak arrived and admitted to Lily Winters that Ashby was frantic during her disappearance – not just for her children, but for her. Lily Winters bristled, assuming he was trying to guilt her, but Novak clarified that wasn’t his intention.
Instead, Novak cautioned her that Ashby was not in a good mental state and had become increasingly vindictive, especially toward Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She was left feeling unsettled but ultimately dismissed the warning, reminding Novak that Ashby wanted nothing to do with her.

At Crimson Lights, Novak scrolled through job listings with little success. His frustration was interrupted by a text from his mother, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), letting him know that she was on her way to Genoa City.
Moments later, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) arrived and clocked his excitement, assuming it was about Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). Novak questioned her interest, but Charles deflected, insisting that she simply wanted what was best for him.
Elsewhere, Lily Winters waited at the Genoa City Athletic Club, where she ran into Hamilton and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). The run-in was tense, but Hastings attempted to ease it by suggesting they grab a bite before their business meeting.
Lily Winters hesitated, explaining that as much as she’d love to dine with them, she was meeting someone else. Hamilton was suspicious and pointedly asked if it was Ashby.
Lily Winters reminded them that Ashby wanted to cut ties with her, but Hastings picked up on her lingering guilt. Pressed by both men, Lily Winters admitted she had been consumed by guilt since their last confrontation.
It was clear who the former Chancellor Industries CEO was meeting when Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), the brother of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), arrived. Hamilton and Hastings were stunned but quickly overjoyed, greeting Malcolm Winters warmly.
Hamilton and Hastings questioned his sudden return, but Malcolm Winters kept things light, claiming he wanted to spend time with family, though it was clear that something was wrong. He asked to speak with Lily Winters alone.
In private, Malcolm Winters revealed the truth – he had been diagnosed with aplastic anemia, and he came to ask for his biological daughter’s help. Though it was caught early, the condition could be fatal.
Shaken but determined, Lily Winters immediately offered to do whatever was necessary. Malcolm Winters cautioned that things might not be simple once testing began, but she refused to waver, was determined to help him and remained optimistic about his chances.
An emotional Lily Winters reflected on losing Neil Winters and the pain of being unable to save him. Now, faced with Malcolm Winters’ diagnosis, she saw a chance to do for her biological father what she could not do for the father who raised her. The two shared a heartfelt embrace.
In the middle of the GCAC, tensions between Ashby and Hamilton simmered. Ashby insisted that he was done with the Winters family and had no interest in reconnecting with them in any capacity. Hamilton was satisfied with the declaration.
The renowned photographer stepped away after receiving a message, explaining that he had to meet an old friend. Hamilton and Hastings immediately questioned Lily Winters, but she insisted that everything was fine. Hamilton wasn’t convinced, reminding her that they know her too well to believe that.
Back at the coffee shop, the dicey interaction between Novak and Charles was interrupted by the arrival of Novak’s mother, who overheard enough to step in and defend her son.
After asking Charles to step away, Dr. Simmons made her feelings even clearer – she didn’t trust the Spectra-Charles Media Co-CEO. Novak brushed past the warning, more interested in why his mother had come to see him. The two sat down, and Simmons hedged before saying that it was time Novak learned the truth about his father.

Lily Winters caught up to Malcolm Winters before he could leave. She promised that she wouldn’t tell Hamilton or Hastings anything about his diagnosis. The two sat down, and the photographer confided that he didn’t want anyone else to know about his condition. His biological daughter gently suggested that their family wouldn’t overwhelm him, but Malcolm Winters remained firm.
Malcolm Winters turned the concern back to her, asking if she was okay. Though the weight of the truth was evident, Lily Winters insisted that she was fine and expressed gratitude that he trusted her.
The businesswoman remained optimistic, confident that she could be his donor, but Malcolm Winters tempered her expectations, reminding her that testing was only the first step.
Looking ahead, Lily Winters acknowledged that her children would need to be told and suggested that they all come together as a family, emphasizing that Malcolm Winters was far more than just an “uncle” to them.
Malcolm Winters quietly agreed, adding that his treatment would take place in New York. Lily Winters pushed back, urging him to remain in Genoa City with his family, but he reassured her that he was in good hands. He explained that Dr. Simmons had been overseeing his care and briefly reflected on their history.
Before leaving, Malcolm Winters asked one final favor of Lily Winters. He asked her to promise not to take it to heart if she was not a match. He reassured her that whatever happened, things would unfold as they were meant to.
At Crimson Lights, Simmons explained to her son that when she had met her late husband, who Novak believed was his father, she was already pregnant. The admission unsettled Novak further, and then came the real shock that his biological father was alive.
Simmons revealed that his biological father had no idea that Novak existed. Reeling, Novak asked for time to process, but Simmons pressed him, insisting that there wasn’t much time left. She described his father as a good man who would soon need Novak’s help.
Malcolm Winters arrived at Crimson Lights, and Dr. Simmons met him inside – leaving Novak to consider her words. Malcolm Winters recapped his visit with Lily Winters, during which they discussed her desire to be tested.
Nervous, Simmons asked if they could sit – she had something important to tell him. Malcolm Winters reassured her that he was ready for anything. Simmons first warned her former flame that Lily Winters could not be a viable donor due to her medical history.
Malcolm Winters was immediately struck with guilt, realizing that Lily Winters believed that she might be able to save him when that wasn’t possible. Before he could fully process that fact, Simmons delivered a truth she had kept hidden for decades: Novak was his son.
The revelation was astonishing, and the doctor explained why she had remained silent, apologizing to both men. Malcolm Winters was stunned but steadied himself while Novak unraveled – remaining angry, while struggling to process the magnitude of what he had just learned.
Simmons urged both men to put their emotions aside, explaining that Malcolm Winters needed a donor match – and Novak may be his best chance. Novak pressed the photographer, asking if he had any other children. He hesitated before admitting that he had a daughter who was not a match. The information caught Novak off guard, adding another layer to an already overwhelming moment.
Meanwhile, at the GCAC, Malcolm Winters’ biological daughter moved forward with testing. For a moment, she remained optimistic, but it quickly collapsed when she learned from the hospital that she could not be a donor. The news devastated her.
The weight of Dr. Simmons’ revelation continued to settle over Novak and Malcolm Winters. Malcolm Winters offered a quiet apology for the years lost, acknowledging the life they never shared.
Novak remained focused, asking again what needed to be done. As Malcolm Winters began to respond, he stated that he wanted to talk to Lily Winters first – the daughter he mentioned.
The realization shocked Novak again as it became clear who his half-sister was. Simmons urged them to move forward for now and focus on the reality. Malcolm Winters said that Novak was his best chance…if he was willing to help out.

At the Abbott mansion, Lily Winters arrived to see Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), admitting that she needed reassurance from someone who would tell her everything would be okay. Though hesitant, the Hamilton-Winters Co-CEO opened up, explaining that she didn’t feel she could talk to her brother.
Lily Winters ultimately confided about Malcolm Winters’ diagnosis, revealing his battle with aplastic anemia and her fear of losing him. Overcome with emotion, she broke down, haunted by the loss of her father, Neil Winters, and the painful belief that she failed him, only to now feel she was failing Malcolm Winters as well.
Abbott offered comfort, reminding Lily Winters that there were other ways to support Malcolm Winters beyond being a donor, and urged her not to lose hope. As Lily Winters regained her composure, she received a message from her uncle and left to meet him.
Malcolm Winters sat with Novak as the weight of their connection began to settle. Novak, still in shock, admitted that he never imagined having a sister. Malcolm Winters expressed hope that Novak and Lily Winters were on good terms. Novak acknowledged a rocky start but insisted that they had reached a place of mutual respect.
When the photographer asked his newly revealed son how he had been handling the truth, Novak admitted that everything felt surreal. Though he believed he had every right to be angry with Simmons, what he felt most was numbness.
The moment was interrupted when the doctor returned with news – Novak could be tested that afternoon. Novak hesitantly agreed and headed out, still reeling. Once alone, Malcolm Winters’ composure cracked, and he confronted Simmons, demanding to know how she could keep his son from him for years.
Simmons attempted to justify her past decisions, but Malcolm Winters wasn’t interested in rationalizations. Though the two reflected on their history, the tension remained.
The longtime doctor asked Malcolm Winters if he would have truly been ready to accept a child at that time. Malcolm Winters responded that they’d never know, but stood firm on one truth: Novak was his son, and he should have been given the chance to know him.
Novak later opened up to Claire Newman at Society about the news that had just changed his life. As their conversation wound down, Dr. Simmons called, but Novak didn’t answer. He asked Claire Newman to go for a walk with him, and the two left together, walking off hand in hand.
At the GCAC, Lily Winters met up with her uncle, struggling to find the words. Before she could speak, Malcolm Winters revealed that he already knew that she couldn’t be a donor for him. Overcome with guilt, Lily Winters apologized for not being the one to tell him.
Still emotional, Lily Winters asked if his doctor would be able to find another donor. Malcolm Winters then shared the truth about having a son. He told Lily Winters about his past with Dr. Simmons, revealing that she became pregnant with his child.
Lily Winters was completely shocked as he explained that he only learned the truth today and that his son and her brother, Holden Novak, was already in Genoa City.

At Crimson Lights, Dr. Simmons waited for her son. She shared a brief conversation with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), who quickly learned that Novak was Simmons’ son. The two mothers bonded over their love for their children.
Novak soon arrived, ready to face his mother, but the conversation between the two was tense. Novak discussed his testing experience, still processing everything that had unfolded.
Though his trust in her was strained, Novak recognized that his mother was genuinely concerned for Malcolm Winters. He made a promise to help save her “friend,” but Simmons reminded him that he’s also his father.
Elsewhere, Lily Winters and Malcolm Winters continued their conversation. She struggled with the truth about his past with Simmons and couldn’t believe that Simmons never told him about his son, even after the death of Novak’s adoptive father.
Malcolm Winters asked Lily Winters what she thought of Novak. She admitted that she didn’t know him well, though they shared a connection through Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), who spoke highly of Novak.
Lily Winters expressed understanding for both men and admitted that she’s glad the truth finally came out. Malcolm Winters reassured her that Simmons was a good person, and Lily Winters believed him.
The Hamilton-Winters Co-CEO was also struck by Novak’s willingness to be tested, noting that even if he wasn’t a match, there were other options. She suggested having her children tested, confident that they would want to help.
The suggestion filled Malcolm Winters with guilt, and he realized that if he had been more open with Simmons about Lily Winters’ children, Novak’s life might not have just been upended so abruptly. Lily Winters urged her uncle not to dwell on it.
Later, Dr. Simmons called, asking Malcolm Winters and Lily Winters to meet her and Novak at Crimson Lights. Before they arrived, she checked in with Novak, asking if he was ready to see Lily Winters now that the truth was out. Novak brushed it off, insisting that there was no point in delaying the encounter.
When Malcolm Winters and Lily Winters arrived, the atmosphere shifted. Novak and Lily Winters shared an awkward greeting. Novak then received a notification from the clinic. The results had come in – he was not a match for Malcolm Winters.
Simmons was stunned, but Lily Winters immediately shifted into problem-solving mode. She insisted that they would move forward, proposing that they travel to see her children and have them tested.
Simmons was caught off guard to learn that her ex had grandchildren. Malcolm Winters urged his biological daughter not to upend everything at once. He offered to go himself and speak with the twins, taking responsibility for the next step.
Lily Winters made arrangements for Malcolm Winters to take the Winters’ jet to Los Angeles. Before leaving, Malcolm Winters turned to Novak and apologized for the chaos his illness had caused. Novak assured him that there was nothing to apologize for and asked only to be kept informed about what happened next.
As Malcolm Winters prepared to leave, he expressed gratitude, noting how lucky he was to have all their support. He shared a brief but meaningful goodbye with everyone before leaving.
